16 Designation Process Phase 1: Letter of Intent Phase 2: Orientation Phase 3: Designation Phase 4: Implementation Submit Letter of Intent to Governor s office expressing interest in the initiative and willingness to learn more. Work 1:1 with a Prevention Coordinator at local Public Health Network to assess business needs. Designation as a Recovery Friendly Workplace by the Governor s Recovery Friendly Workplace Advisory Council. Access to Recovery Friendly Business Advisor. Active in policy and practice, trainings, and community engagement with support from non profit recovery organization. FACILITATE BUSINESS AND NONPROFIT CONNECTIONS

27 PROGRAM OBJECTIVES Educate employers in evidence-based practices Create work environments that are conducive to enabling persons in addiction and mental health recovery to sustain and re-enter the workforce Train employees, including specialized training for human resources personnel Raise public awareness and provide information that supports health, safety for employees Promote active community engagement that will assist in reducing the negative impact of unaddressed substance misuse and untreated mental health
