THIS YEAR S CONFERENCE THEME Jnury 2000 mrked the lunch of the Helthy People 2010 Objectives for the Ntion, which set the ntion s public helth gols for the next decde: to increse qulity nd yers of helthy life; nd to eliminte helth disprities tht re ssocited with rce, ethnicity nd socioeconomic sttus. Achieving these gols will require community prtnerships tht involve ordinry citizens, grss roots orgniztions, community gencies, hospitls nd helth systems, businesses, government, philnthropy nd other prtners. Our 5 th nniversry conference seeks to demonstrte the contribution tht community-cmpus prtnerships cn mke to promoting helth, reducing helth disprities nd improving qulity of life.
