3 Community resilience: Targeted communities have conducted hazard-vulnerability capacity assessment and mapping and increased disaster awareness among the affected population including HIV/AIDS; Two dams/weirs are rehabilitated in each community and two small scale irrigation schemes established in each district; Adoption and growing of drought tolerant crops to enhance food diversification is promoted; Two communities have received training on community-based early warning with natural hazards.
