We invite you to explore our family of products and submit your best design featuring Marvin Windows and Doors. Any style of architecture is welcome we encourage you to think outside the box and showcase your unique perspective and personality. CONTEST DETAILS DEADLINE May 31, 2018 LOCATION Canada ELIGIBLE SCHOOLS PRIZES University of Calgary, Carleton University, Dalhousie University, Laval University, University of Manitoba, McGill University, University of Montreal, Ryerson University, University of Toronto, University of British Columbia, University of Waterloo 1st place CAD 5,000, 2nd place CAD 2,500, 3rd place CAD $1,000

3 WHAT YOU NEED TO DO 1. Submit PDF of plans and elevations of your original design which incorporates Marvin brand and/or Integrity brand products + a brief written description of the project, including a general description of the structure. 2. The designs are non-site designated, and the scope will be a residential structure between 3000 and 7000 square feet in size a home or a cottage! 3. You will need to meet a Building Code compliance of PG 30, and an overall window U- value of 1.60 or better (or an ER of 25 or greater). 4. Be mindful of birds when you craft your project. You must enter the Contest online: send your submission via to the address contest@marvincanada.com. Along with your submission, include your name, address, school name and your student number. 4 2018 ELIGIBILITY This contest of skill is open to senior architectural students only. Entrants must be currently enrolled in their senior year of studies in any the aforementioned universities. They must be 18 years of age or older as of the date of entry and legal residents of Canada. The 2018 Marvin Canada Architectural Student Design Challenge (the Contest ) begins February 1, 2018, and ends May 31, 2018, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. Employees or agents of Marvin Windows and Doors and its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising/promotional/pr agencies, and the members of their immediate families or those persons living in the same household of such individuals are ineligible to enter or win. All federal, provincial and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited by law CONTEST RULES & REGULATIONS Entries To enter, submit, in PDF format, the plans and elevations of a project of your original design, which incorporates Marvin windows and/or doors, together with a brief written description of the project, including a general description of the structure. Projects must include Marvin brand and/or include Integrity brand products. Multiple entries may not be submitted. Projects in which non-marvin family of windows or doors are depicted will be disqualified. You must enter the Contest online: upload your plans via to the address contest@marvincanada.com. Along with your submission, include your name, address, school name and your student number. All entries must be received before May 31, 2018, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.

5 2018 CONTEST RULES & REGULATIONS It is the sole responsibility of the entrant to notify the Sponsor in writing if the entrant changes his/her address or other contact information. All entries become the exclusive property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. By entering the Contest and submitting the PDFs, you assign to the Sponsor all intellectual property rights over the PDFs; the Sponsor may reproduce, crop or otherwise modify, display, and/or otherwise use the entrants photographs for any purpose related to the Contest, on the Sponsor s web site and/or in such other materials and media, whether now known or hereafter created, as the Sponsor may choose, without further compensation to you. Representations By entering the Contest, you declare that all information submitted by you is true, current, and complete, and you represent and warrant to the Sponsor that you are the designer of the project submitted, that the design is your original work, have all rights and permissions necessary to submit the documents. ** You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Sponsor and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, employees, and licensors from any claim, cost, demand, loss, or expense arising out of the content submitted by you in connection with the Contest, your entry in the Contest, or your violation of the Official Rules, the rights of any other person, or any applicable law. First Prize - $ 5000 Canadian Second Prize - $ 2500 Canadian Third Prize - $ 1000 Canadian No substitute prizes will be awarded, and prizes may not be redeemed for other consideration. No substitute winner will be chosen.
