Background (1/2) During the proposal phase and in the business plan submitted, the general number of projects per year were planned: Business Plan (whole KIC): Large projects (average cost of EUR 2.8 m per year) Small projects (average cost of EUR 0.8 m per year) Criteria and selection of InnoEnergy projects

Criteria Additional criteria for selection of on-going projects For projects of partners or a group of partners which are ongoing, additional criteria have to be respected if they are supposed be receive extra/add on funding: 1. The part of project which shall be run within InnoEnergy should be easy to define without incurring in any complicated funding (e.g. double funding FP7 / EIT) or patent related issues 2. KIC external partners who are involved in the project must agree to the possible labelling of the project as InnoEnergy project the transparency rule within KIC InnoEnergy the involvement of further InnoEnergy partners 22 Criteria and selection of InnoEnergy projects
