9 ACCM in the News SMEs now have LinkedIn portal to connect them to MNCs and research institutes The Straits Times Online, 12 May 2016 The article featured the launch of A*STAR Collaborative Commerce Marketplace (ACCM), a portal that highlights local SMEs capabilities, at the PE COI Annual Conference, graced by Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr S Iswaran. The article also touched on the other initiatives announced by Mr Iswaran, including the SIMTech-Applied Materials joint R&D collaboration, MOU signing between SIMTech and Singapore Precision Engineering and Technology Association (SPETA) and the MOU signing between SIMTech and 5 SMEs. Firms urged to be tech-savvy to stay competitive The Straits Times, Business page C03, 13 Oct 2016 The article reiterated Minister of State, Dr Koh Poh Koon s call for manufacturers to look at developing new technological capabilities amid the slowing economy to stay relevant, at the MPTC Annual Conference The article also mentioned the MOU signing between SIMTech and Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) to strengthen industry outreach efforts, as well as the launch of new MPTC technology initiatives to support industry for better productivity. Under the MOU, SMF will help to promote A*STAR Collaborative Commerce Marketplace (ACCM) to their members. ACCM, a LinkedIn for local manufacturers in less than a year, this national portal has expanded its reach out to over 200 companies Channel News Asia, TV, 5 Apr 2017 Similar to a Linked-In for manufacturers, the A*STAR Collaborative Commerce Marketplace (ACCM) portal has had over 200 companies come onboard in less than a year since its launch. SIGENIC is one of the ACCM member companies, which shared that ACCM helps SMEs like them network and seek viable partnerships, as well as forge partnerships with like-minded companies to have better access to resources. Dr John Yong, Director of Industry Development Office, SIMTech, shared that MNCs can also leverage ACCM to rope in local companies to co-develop products with them. One MNC that has joined the ACCM portal is Endress+Hauser; The company shared that it is looking for local players to complement its business through the ACCM portal.
