I would first like to thank all of the committee members who helped work on this event. Without their hard work we would not have been able to have such a successful event. I would also like to thank Mr. Snowden and the Wakulla News for their continued support. Special thanks go to Bob Ballard and his staff at Wakulla Environmental Institute for being such gracious hosts and setting up the room for us all to enjoy. If you have not yet had the chance to visit their new campus please take a moment and reach out to WEI and see what exciting things they are doing in our community. Speaking of community, thank you to all of the community members who submitted questions for the event. If you were there you got to hear the candidates answer a myriad of questions. It seemed as if the most popular topic of the night hinged around the concept of how does our economic environment thrive while also protecting our natural environment? I agree that this is an important issue that our candidates will have to work through as our region continues to grow. Lastly I would be remiss if I didn t thank the candidates for their participation. Without their willingness to serve none of this would have been possible. 3 Monthly Networking Riverside Cafe October Networking Luncheon by Leslie Linka By Leslie Linka The October Networking luncheon was held at Riverside Cafe at 69 Riverside Drive in St. Marks. MC Mary Wallace welcomed the 76 attendees, and announced two new members - Tractor Supply Store, who will celebrate their grand opening and ribbon cutting on Saturday November 12th at 8 a.m, and Community Training Works, Inc. Chamber members and their guests enjoyed a great lunch along with lots of prizes and giveaways from the local business community; including $25.00 gift certificates and Stone Crab festival T-shirts from Riverside Café. The $76.00 cash drawing was won by Zoe Mansfield. Other drawing prizes were donated by: Cook Insurance, Olympus Insurance, KWCB, Rossetti Realty, The Wolf, WTXL, Smith, Thompson, Shaw, and Minacci& Colón, P.A., Leslie Linka, Talquin Electric, NFAN, Shepard Accounting, and The Wakulla News. Guests speakers included Denise Wyche, the new TCC Wakulla Center manager, who announced the upcoming renovation and the December 1st grand reopening of the current location as well as the addition of new monthly courses, and the upcoming formation of an advisory council. Colleen Castille with Terra Conservation Group spoke about Camp Indian Springs an economic center for recreational access to the Sportsman s Paradise (Wakulla County). A local movement to support keeping it as a camp ground and equestrian center is needed. The property has seventy seven forested upland acres for active recreation. Supporters are working with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to affect a state and local partnership for purpose. Community Announcements included those from: Jo Ann Palmer, executive director of Keep Wakulla County Beautiful, who invited the audience to the first annual Halloween event at Panacea's Woolley Park on October 31; Marion Russ, founder of Faith, Hope, and Love, a WAKULLA County 501c3, invited all to their 1st annual Fall Festival fundraiser which will benefit families in Wakulla county that are facing the many challenges caused by cancer; Pat Walker from the Wakulla Medical Center reminded the audience that enrollment dates for the Affordable Healthcare Plan are from November 1, January 31, The next chamber luncheon will be held in January We look forward to seeing you all you at the 2016 WAKULLA Chamber Business Excellence Awards in November at WAKULLA Springs Lodge where we will once again recognize the outstanding achievements and contributions made by the local business community. 3

Approximately 62 chamber members, employees, friends and clients of Wakulla Insurance Agency visited to get an up-close view of the #88 Show Car. Guests took photos and shared their photos on social media for a chance to win a miniature signed replica of the car. Attendees enjoyed wonderful food prepared by Family Coastal Restaurant and a delicious assortment of mini cupcakes from The Kast Net. Considering there were other events held this evening, we had an amazing and lively crowd. Guests got to spin the Nationwide wheel for door prizes including Nationwide hats and #88 miniature cars and Wakulla Insurance Agency drew winners every 20 minutes for some awesome prizes from many local businesses for the attendees. 4
