1 Creative Lancashire The Creative Employment Programme is a 15m fund to support the creation of traineeships, formal apprenticeship and paid internship opportunities in England for young unemployed people aged wishing to pursue a career in the arts and cultural sector. The role will involve working with local artists, organisations and creatives. Left Coast is a new programme of a wide range of art activities across and Wyre. Its priorities include getting more people involved in art activities, increasing the skills of artists and organisations based in the region providing opportunities for people to experience great art. The Dukes is the largest producing theatre in Lancashire which means we make and we also receive over 50 visiting theatre productions, comedians and live music acts each year. The Cultural Services team at Lancashire County Council are responsible for managing lots of different venues throughout Lancashire, specifically libraries (74), museums (11) and Lancashire Archives. Our development services offer support and guidance for local artists, cultural organisations and community groups. Pendle Leisure Trust Communit y Arts Project Pop up shop Nelson Town Centre Pendle Pendle Leisure Trust is a registered charity which manages arts and Leisure facilities across Pendle. It also contains the arts development unit which is committed to making life better and runs projects working with different communities across Pendle and East Lancashire. We are looking for someone to work in The Shop. It s a new pop up space opening in Nelson in early December The Shop will have an artist s studio, space for children to play, workshop space and sell a selection of vintage and upcycled clothes and home ware. We are trying to create a brand new space full of great design ideas and great coffee and a space where people want to spend time. Working in the shop you will be required to undertake a number of duties including, serving beverages, and taking payments for items bought, keeping the shop tidy and displaying items in an appropriate manner. You will also be required to purchase items to be sold in the shop, help with marketing the shop and come up with ideas to increase the number of visitors to the shop. You will need to be familiar with taking money and working on tills, you will need to be able to spell and use social media, you will need to be able to remember customer orders, you will need to be able to drive as you may be asked to collect items for The Shop, you will need to be physically fit to carry items and you will need to carry out some cleaning tasks. The role would suit someone friendly, with a welcoming manner, who can talk to any and all customers, who is excited about The Shop and full of ideas of how to make it better. Some retail or catering experience would be best and a driving licence is essential.
