11 What we ve done Came to the Manchester Health Inquiry in Bolton wanted to generate the same enthusiasm, innovation and commitment Supported by GT, we used AI to relaunch our Bolton 2030 Vision in January very successful Have now used it several times across different partnerships 11

12 Reflections and learning To make it look and feel slick, you need to put the work in beforehand! You have to show people that it isn t windowdressing you need progress to sustain their involvement and enthusiasm. You need a few people who are willing to nurture and grow more AI capacity 12

13 AI as a Place Leadership tool Leaders seen to be leading: modelling a more open, inclusive, innovative approach; reaching a larger audience with key messages. AI lends itself to engagement in places, discussions about community capacity, and collaborative approaches. Doesn t start from a deficit what is the problem, what isn t working, what don t we have; focusses on strengths & assets, & how to leverage them. 13

14 Governance AI is an open, transparent and contributory process people will begin to expect the same in their other dealings with you. Can t be window-dressing you need to show real progress to sustain their involvement and enthusiasm; speed & flexibility are important. If you ask / cajole /drag people into AI sessions expect them to demand more involvement and representation in other areas of your work. 14
