1 2018 IATA ADM Management and Reduction Awards Terms & Conditions VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. GENERAL INFORMATION 1. Information on how to enter the 2018 IATA ADM Management and Reduction Awards (Competition) and the prize details form part of these terms and conditions of entry (Terms and Conditions). Entry into the Competition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Submissions not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions are deemed ineligible. 2. The sponsor of the Competition is the International Air Transport Association (IATA or Sponsor). 3. In addition to the specific requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions, the Competition is comprised of two parts: a. the Initial Application Process (see part A below); and b. the Competition (see part B below). Entrants to the Competition (Entrants and each an Entrant) must comply with each part of the Competition and these Terms and Conditions in order to be eligible to receive any of the prizes described in these Terms and Conditions. 4. The 2018 IATA ADM Management and Reduction Awards is an exclusively skill-based competition, without any element of chance. PART A Eligibility of Entry 5. Entry into the Competition is open only to (i) individuals representing an IATA Accredited travel agency (Agent Entrants and each an Agent Entrant); and (ii) individuals representing an airline that participates in any of the IATA Billing and Settlement Plans (Airline Entrants and each an Airline Entrant). All such Entrants must have access to the BSPlink account assigned to their respective IATA Accredited travel agency or airline. Only one (1) Agent Entrant per each eligible IATA Accredited travel agency and one (1) Airline Entrant per each eligible airline are permitted. Entry into the Competition

To enter the Competition, Entrants must submit an entry to at least one (1) of the three (3) Kudos contests described in section B below, which will be released between March 2018 and November 2018 by the IATA ADM Management & Reduction Project team. During this period, links to access online contest forms for each of the three (3) contests will be sent by through the Customer Portal of BSPlink (i.e. IATA communication channel) to all Travel Agencies and airlines participating in BSPlink. In addition, these links will also be made available in the Recognition Program section of the ADM Working Group website ( together with detailed instructions. Entrants will be able to complete an online contest form by submitting their name, BSPlink login address and name of the travel agency or airline they represent via a web form tool (Web Form Tool) accessible via the above-mentioned links. 7. Only one (1) online contest form is required for entry into the Competition. However, Entrants may complete more than one (1) contest form and are encouraged to participate in all three (3) contests. Entrants may not submit more than one (1) form per each respective contest. In the event that more than one (1) form is received from the same Entrant or from Entrants representing the same travel agency or airline for a particular contest, only the first fully-completed form received will be accepted. 8. Entrants are responsible for ensuring that their contact details submitted to the Sponsor are correct. Entrants may forfeit their right to claim prizes in the event that their contact details are inaccurate or incomplete. Submissions not received through the indicated channel will not be accepted. PART B Selection Process 9. The selection process for the Competition finalists (Finalists and each a Finalist) will be based on a series of skill-based Kudos contests. The Competition will feature three (3) contests that relate to ADM Management & Reduction initiatives, and each will be assigned a respective Kudo recognition. In addition, one (1) overall participation Kudo will be awarded. Each Kudo and its respective selection criteria and other conditions are detailed below: a. Kudo: The Private Investigator Overview: To earn this Kudo, Entrants shall be required to explain a best practice put in place to identify a credit card fraud case(s), and the actions taken by their respective travel agency or airline to prevent such fraud cases successfully. Entrants shall submit their entry using the Web Form Tool. Selection Criteria: The best example of a best practice put in place and used successfully will earn the Kudo. The submissions will be assessed internally by the IATA card payment team as well as the IATA ADM subject matter team. This Kudo will be assigned to the best example that demonstrates proactiveness and industry best practices in credit card fraud prevention.
3 Kudo Winners: This Kudo will be awarded to one (1) Airline Entrant and one (1) Agent Entrant per each IATA region (the IATA regions being (a) China & North Asia; (b) Asia Pacific; (c) Africa & Middle East; (d) Europe; and (e) the Americas). Thus, up to ten (10) Private Investigator Kudos will be awarded in total. Launch Announcement and Closing Date: Entrants will be notified regarding the launch of this contest by in or around early March 2018, and the same communication will specify the closing date for submissions to this contest, which is projected to be in or around end of April Any submissions received after the closing date may be refused. Announcement of Winners: The winners of this contest will be announced in an communication in conjunction with the launch of the subsequent contest. This communication is projected for or around end of April b. Kudo: The Brave Explorer Overview: To earn this Kudo, Entrants will be required to: 1) Review the Standard ADM Reason Codes list available on the ADM Working Group website ( 2) Extract the most recent ADMs of their respective travel agency or airline over a one (1)-month period, and identify undetermined ADMs from this sample that cannot be classified using the Standard ADM Reason Codes list; 3) Review the undetermined ADMs and identify one (1) ADM category or subreason absent from the Standard ADM Reason Codes list; 4) Submit their entry via the Web Form Tool by describing the category/subreason identified as absent from the Standard ADM Reason Codes list along with two (2) actual ADM examples of this category/sub-reason from the time period in question. Selection Criteria: This contest will be time-based the first Airline Entrant and the first Agent Entrant in each IATA region who will identify a valid ADM category or sub-reason absent from the Standard Reason Codes list will earn this Kudo. A valid ADM category/dub-reason is one that is confirmed to be absent from the existing Standard ADM Reason Codes list. A category/subreason that is simply described using different verbiage but the spirit of which is already captured in an existing category/sub-reason, will not be considered valid. Kudo Winners: This Kudo will be awarded to one (1) Airline Entrant and one (1) Agent Entrant per each IATA region. Thus, up to ten (10) Brave Beaver Kudos will be awarded in total.
4 Launch Announcement and Closing Date: Entrants will be notified regarding the launch of this contest by in or around end of May 2018, and the same communication will specify the closing date for submissions to this contest, which is projected to be in or around end of June Any submissions received after the closing date may not be accepted. Announcement of Winners: The winners of this contest will be announced in an communication, in conjunction with the launch of the subsequent contest. This communication is projected for or around end of June c. Kudo: The Pioneering Policy Setter (Airline Entrants) / The Pioneering Policy Detector (Agent Entrants) The Pioneering Policy Setter Overview: To earn the Pioneering Policy Setter Kudo, Airline Entrants will be required to update their respective Airline s ADM policy with a new ADM policy functionality that will be made available via BSPlink. Airline Entrants who take action by logging into their BSPlink account and updating their airline s ADM Policy with a new functionality will be identified via the BPSlink system log. There will be no additional submission or requirement to enter this contest or earn this Kudo. This Kudo is only available to Airline Entrants. Selection Criteria: This contest will be time based - the first Airline Entrant in each IATA region who updates their respective Airline s ADM policy with the new functionality will earn this Kudo. Thus, up to five (5) Pioneering Policy Setter Kudos will be awarded in total. The winners will be identified through the date stamp on IATA BSPlink system logs and no Web Form Tool entries will be required or accepted for this Kudo. The Pioneering Policy Detector Overview: To earn the Pioneering Policy Detector Kudo, Agent Entrants are required to update their address in the new Alert field ADM Policy Alerts in BSPlink and confirm their submissions through the Web Form Tool. This Kudo is only available to Agent Entrants. Selection Criteria: This contest will be time based the first Agent Entrant in each IATA region who correctly identifies all of the new sections of the new ADM policy functionality will earn this Kudo. Thus, up to five (5) Pioneering Policy Detector Kudos will be awarded in total. Kudo Winners: One (1) Airline Entrant per each IATA region for the Pioneering Policy Setter Kudo; one (1) Agent Entrant per each IATA Region for the Pioneering Policy Detector Kudo. Ten kudos in total will be given out. Launch Announcement and Closing Date: Entrants will be notified regarding the launch of these completions by in early September 2018, and the same communication will specify the closing date for submissions to this contest, which is projected to be in early October 2018.
5 Announcement of Winners: The winners of these contests will be announced in a subsequent projected for or around early October d. Overall Participation Kudo: The Enthusiastic/ Creative Game Player Selection Criteria: This Kudo will be awarded to only one (1) Entrant who has shown the highest level of engagement and participation during the Competition, and factors that may be taken into account include the number of competitions participated in and the amount of Kudos earned. Additionally, the selection criteria will include the creativity of submission(s), taking into account the most original and appropriate idea(s) presented by Entrants in view of the ADM Management and Reduction Project s purpose to create new solutions and establish best practices in this area. Kudo Winner: Only one (1) Airline Entrant or (1) one Agent Entrant who participated in the Competition and earned at least one (1) Kudo. Winner announcement: The winners of the Airline Dynamic ADM Policy contests will be announced by together with The Enthusiastic- Creative Game Player kudo winner as well as the announcement of the finalization of the program by mid-october. 10. The Competition is projected to conclude by or around mid-october. 11. Each contest that is not purely time-based will be judged by a jury comprised of representatives from the IATA ADM Management & Reduction Project Team as well as other internal subject matter experts from IATA. In its assessment of each submission, the jury may consider other general factors, including, without limitation: completeness of the submissions as per the criteria for each contest; accuracy of the information submitted; and feasibility of Entrants ideas and submissions. 12. The Competition Finalists will consist of all Entrants who have earned at least one (1) Kudo during the course of the Competition. The final winner of the Competition will be the Finalist that had earned the Enthusiastic / Creative Game Player Kudo, which will be determined by the jury based on the criteria described above for the Enthusiastic / Creative Game Player Kudo. Prizes and Presentation 13. The final prize awarded to the final winner per the selection criteria described above will be a Customized ADM Company Profile (Company Profile), described as follows: An in-depth analysis of the winning Entrant s respective Agency or airline s ADM situation, including dashboards and statistics based on their the Agency or airline s ADM data extracted from BSPlink, and the Industry s Standard ADM Reason Codes;
6 The Company Profile aims to assist that Agency or Airline to reduce its ADMs by identifying the main reasons causing such ADMs, as well as the specific areas to focus on in order to moderate the need for financial adjustments through ADMs; In addition, the Company Profile will provide a list of observations based on the solutions and best practices that have been established by the ADM Working Group. 14. The Company Profile is a customized study offered as part of this Competition only, and is not available for purchase and has no monetary value. 15. The final winner and prize will be announced by or around November 30, 2018 via an communicated to all Entrants, as well as on the Recognition Program section of the ADM Working Group website ( General 16. The Sponsor reserves the right to verify the validity of submissions and to disqualify any Entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. The Sponsor will not accept any late or misdirected submissions. 17. The Entrants retain all right, title and interest to their submissions (including accompanying documentation), submitted to the Sponsor in the context of this Competition. Each Entrant, however, grants a worldwide, perpetual, unlimited, nonexclusive and royalty-free license to the Sponsor to use any of their submissions (including accompanying documentation), in whole or in part, in any of the Sponsor s ADM reduction initiatives, programs, products or services, and any of the Sponsor s standards, guidelines or other materials. In addition, each Entrant allows the Sponsor and the Competition jury to reproduce and distribute their submissions among the relevant members of the Competition jury, for the purpose of reviewing the Submission and designation of the Competition finalists and eventual winner. 18. Any data and/or materials (Sponsor Data) provided by the Sponsor during the Competition shall remain the sole and exclusive property of the Sponsor and the Entrant shall not acquire any rights whatsoever in such Sponsor Data. The Entrant is authorized to use the Sponsor Data for the sole purpose of the Competition and shall make no use whatsoever of such Sponsor Data after the Competition, including in cases where an Entrant has integrated any Sponsor Data into his/her/ submission created in the course of the Competition. The Entrant shall return the Sponsor Data to the Sponsor at the end of the Competition. 19. The Sponsor reserves to the right to cancel or modify the awards or final prize at any time at its sole discretion. 20. The Sponsor s decision in relation to any and all aspects of the Competition is final and binding on every person who enters. 21. Disqualification of any individual who the Sponsor has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper
7 misconduct calculated to jeopardize the fair and proper conduct of the Competition, is at the Sponsor s sole discretion. 22. The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer or online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, delay or error in postal service or any combination thereof, including but not limited to any injury or damage to Entrants' or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in, or downloading any materials as part of, this Competition. The Sponsor is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this Competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft, destruction, or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, submissions. 23. If for any reason this Competition is not capable of running as planned, including but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Competition, the Sponsor reserves the right, subject to any written directions given under applicable law, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition. The Sponsor reserves all rights to recover damages and/or other compensation as may be deemed appropriate from such an offender. 24. In the event of war, terrorism, a state of emergency, a disaster or any other event or circumstances beyond the Sponsor s control due to which the Competition, the Sponsor reserves the right (subject to any written directions under applicable law) to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition. 25. This Competition is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and is void where prohibited. 26. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: THE SPONSOR, ITS AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL AGENCIES, ANY INTERNET OR ON-LINE ACCESS PROVIDERS OR ANY OF THEIR EMPLOYEES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, SHAREHOLDERS, AND AGENTS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY AND SHALL BE HELD HARMLESS BY ENTRANT FOR ANY DAMAGE, LOSS OR LIABILITY TO PERSON OR PROPERTY, DUE IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, BY REASON OF ENTERING THE COMPETITION, THE ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, RELIANCE UPOM, USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE, OR WHILE PREPARING FOR, OR PARTICIPATING IN ANY PRIZE- RELATED ACTIVITY. Any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Competition, but in no event, attorneys' fees. The Sponsor and its promotion and advertising agencies are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, fraud, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, whether caused by the Sponsor, users or by any
8 of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Competition or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions which may damage a user's system or limit a participant's ability to participate in the Competition. 27. This Competition will be governed by the laws of New York.
