12 Future Expansion Model Firstly, expansion plans for ekasilab will also aligned to the GCR, with 2 ekasilabs in each of the 5 GCR corridors!! Regional Innovation Centers 10 ekasilabs covering the GCR Phase 2 of expansion plan will entail growing the size of each ekasilab into RICs with focus on : 2 Mohlakeng & Carletonville Soweto & Alex Sebokeng & Garankuwa & Mamelodi Tembisa & Kathorus Sharpeville Bigger Infrastructure Rental Space for Startups and SMEs that are generating revenue Host other ED Programme (GEP,SEDA, CIPC, SARS) Incubation Programme Increase the size of ekasilab Core or Post Revenue startups (60%) Ensure sustainability of support for precommercial incubation
