2 THE ESPERANCE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY (ECCI) The Esperance Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ECCI) is a not-for-profit organisation that has been the voice of private enterprise in Esperance for almost 100 years. MISSION The Chamber s mission is to Empower Business for our Community by helping to establish and foster an economic environment in Esperance that encourages the growth of business and industry as well as providing a range of relevant and cost effective services to businesses. PURPOSE The purpose of the Chamber is to represent and enhance opportunities for established local businesses and create opportunities to develop new businesses. VISION The vision of the Chamber is to enhance existing and future business and industry growth whilst also contributing to the long-term development and continued well-being of Esperance. The ECCI is committed to ensuring that our members receive value for money from a professional, collaborative representative body that is financially secure and administratively proficient. The ECCI develops and maintains positive working relationships with the business community, all levels of government and peak bodies to advocate on behalf of our members. The ECCI focuses on providing the best possible service to its members by increasing opportunities for them to access business development programmes and courses; hosting regular networking events; actively advocating on local and strategic issues affecting members; attracting significant events of national and international calibre to our region; recognition as a respected and influential voice with Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry WA; and constantly striving to investigate opportunities to provide extra services and better outcomes for our business members.

3 Since 2012 the ECCI has enjoyed an ever-increasing presence and is continually asked to be around the table when key decisions are being made. We work hard to maintain a strong working relationship with organisations such as the Shire of Esperance, the Goldfields Esperance Development Commission, Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Small Business Development Corporation, Regional Development Australia Goldfields Esperance and numerous other groups who are shaping the future of regional WA. We continue to host events that support and celebrate our small business community, including our annual Over the Horizon business and industry forum and Business Excellence Awards, which are complimented by our monthly Business After Hours networking events. In 2015 we were pleased to be awarded the Business Local contract with the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This has meant that the ECCI are able to provide free business advisory services and support for businesses from start up to finishing. Without the generosity of our sponsors, the ECCI would not be able to provide these services to our members and the general business community. The ECCI currently has approximately 200 member businesses across a broad range of industry sectors, encompassing: Agriculture Financial Planning Retail Community Services Transport Hospitality Tourism Health Services Mining Technology Construction MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES There are currently five Membership Categories: A $99 per annum Membership rate for Community Service Organisations A $220 per annum Membership rate for Sole Traders (businesses with no employees) A $330 per annum Membership Rate for Small Business (1-19 Full Time Equivalent employees) A $550 per annum Membership Rate for Large Business (20+ Full Time Equivalent employees) A $550 per annum Membership Rate for Government Agencies (Local, State or Federal)
