1 DEPARTMENT OF ATHLETICS The Marist Department of Athletics sponsors 23 NCAA Division I sports which compete in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and the Division I football team competes in the Pioneer Football League. These varsity programs are comprised of more than 550 student-athletes. The Marist Department of Athletics is housed in the James J. McCann Recreation Center on the south end of campus. In addition to Division I programs, the Department of Athletics also offers a wide variety of club and intramural sports. Club sports give Marist students the opportunity to compete against other colleges and universities without the strict requirements of the NCAA. Club sports offered at Marist include baseball, golf, men s ice hockey, women s lacrosse, men s and women s rugby, men s volleyball, equestrian, fencing, ski club and ultimate frisbee. For those who are looking for a more relaxed environment, Marist offers a variety of intramural programs throughout the school year. Even if you are just a fan of college athletics, but are not an athlete, Marist offers a variety of athletic support and spirit groups including the Student Booster Club, Pep Band, Cheerleaders and Dance Team. 2 INTRAMURALS The Marist Department of Athletics sponsors a variety of intramural sports for athletes of all abilities. Students can participate in all programs during the fall and spring seasons. Offerings include: badminton, basketball, dodgeball, flag football, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball. Fitness classes are offered as well including yoga and zumba. All intramurals and fitness classes are held at on campus facilities. Students can earn ONE priority point per semester for participating in intramurals. Even if students participate in multiple sports, they can earn no more than one priority point per semester. A priority point can be earned by attending at least 80 percent of one sport. Forty percent participation in two sports does not equal 80 percent of one sport, and thus will not result in a priority point. Intramural sign ups will be available online at imleagues.com/marist. Students will need to create a free account using their Marist ID and password. An intramurals table will be at the Activities Fair, held on the first Friday of the fall semester and second Wednesday of the spring semester for assistance and/or questions. Be sure to learn the words so you can sing along whenever called upon by Art and the band!

3 CAMPUS FITNESS AND RECREACTION FACILITIES Marist has significantly expanded its fitness and campus recreation offerings for all students on campus. There are multiple locations on campus that enable students to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. A valid Marist ID is required for entry to all campus fitness and recreaction facilities. SOUTH FIELD FITNESS: Located on the south end of campus, adjcaent to the McCann Center and McCann Baseball Field, South Field Fitness contains a variety of fitness and weight training equipment for all students. Monday - Thursday: - 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. - reserved for student-athlete use - 6 p.m. - 1 a.m. - open to all students Friday: - 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. - reserved for student-athlete use - 6 p.m a.m. - open to all students Saturday: - 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. - open to all students Sunday: - 10 a.m. - midnight - open to all students MARKETPLACE FITNESS: Located on the east end of campus, Marketplace Fitness contains a variety of fitness and plate-loaded weight training equipment for all students. Open Daily from 8 a.m p.m. - open to all students BUILDING D FITNESS: Located on the north end of campus, Building D Fitness offers cardiovascular fitness equipment as well as a dance/areobics studio, which holds organized classes. 4 OUTDOOR BASKETBALL COURT: Located on east campus, a lit basketball court is available exclusively to all students for recreational play. Lights must be powered on by pushing a button on light pole. Open Daily from 7 a.m a.m. TENNIS PAVILION: Located on the east campus, the Tennis Pavilion has eight lit courts for recreational and varsity athletics use. Students must swipe to enter the pavilion and lights must be powered on by pushing a button on light pole. Open Daily from 7 a.m p.m. NORTH FIELD: Located on the north end of campus, North Field has a softball field and large space for intramural and club activities.
