The Emmaus Commemorative Gardens Foundation Honoring Those Who Keep Us Safe Each year, the Emmaus Public Library helps the Emmaus community to put a positive face on the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 through a special event at the library called "Community Heroes Day." This year, the Emmaus Commemorative Gardens Foundation is pleased to announce our 4 th annual bricks installation to honor our community heroes. The walkway is a perfect way to highlight our local Police, Ambulance and Firefighters by installing a brick in their honor. The ECGF expects to install several bricks during the dedication of the walkway on Thursday, September 6 at 5:00 p.m. After the brick installation and dedication, the celebration of our heroes continues at the Emmaus Public Library when the annual Community Heroes Day festivities runs from 6:00 p.m. until dark. Kids of all ages can climb on a fire truck, look inside an ambulance and sit in a police car. Bricks to honor Police Officers, Firefighters or Ambulance Corps members can be ordered and purchased at the Remembrance Garden website using a credit card or call Mike Waddell at for more information. The Community Heroes 4x8 bricks are available starting at $65. Bricks must be ordered by Sunday, July 15 to be here in time for the September 6 ceremony.
