5 Calendar Notes 1. FOCUS The are usually held at the First Baptist Church (909 SW 11 th Ave./ on SW Taylor between 11 th and 12 th ). For information about FOCUS events, please go to the FOCUS website at or stop by their office at East Hall, room 322 on Monday to Friday 2:00 to 4:00pm. FOCUS-is not part of the program but they are an organization of Portland Christians helping international students of all cultures and beliefs. 2. PSU Sporting Events All PSU sporting events are free for students. For football games, go to the PSU Ticket Office (located in Smith Memorial Student Union) the week of the game to get your free ticket. For all other sports, just go to the game with your PSU ID card and you will get in for free. 3. Students can purchase one ticket for $10.00 with your PSU ID card two ways: 1. Students must present a valid student ID with purchase of their first 2015/16 ticket in person at the Ticket Office, in downtown Portland ( Street). Students will then be issued a promo code redeemable online starting one week prior to eligible concerts for the remainder of the season. 2. Go to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall (1037 SW Broadway) starting two hours before the concert. For more information, see the website at 4. is held in the Green Roots Cafe, in Smith Memorial Student Union basement. is every Wednesday, 3:30 to 5:00pm, from October 14 th to December 2 nd. 5. Day Trips are free for students. We will go in groups to different places in Oregon and Washington (i.e. Woodburn Outlet Mall, the Pumpkin Patch, Seattle), depending on the weather and student interest. The day trips are free for students but a $40 deposit is required. If you show up on time to the meeting place, your deposit will be returned. Students interested in joining these trips can sign-up and pay their deposits at Activities Office (UCB 405D). Or for more information go to the Activities Office. 6. Portland Timbers (MLS soccer match) On Sunday, October, 2015, at 4:00pm, at Providence Park. Tickets are $20. Only 40 tickets available. Sign and get a ticket at the Activities Office. 7. On Saturday, November, 2015, at 7:00pm, the Portland Trailblazers take on the Chicago Bulls. After the game, we will go to the court and shoot a free throw. Tickets prices are free for students, $20 for guests. Only 150 tickets available. Sign and get a ticket at the Activities Office. There are a limited number of tickets for other games. The ticket prices range from $18-$99, depending on the game and the seat.
