5 In Association with : C-ENTITE : CONCRETE MIX DESIGN : 8 th August & 9.30am Cheif guest : Dr.C.Natarajan Prof/civil NIT chairman, ICI chapter : Third and Final year students : Studio / MAMSA Chief guests and staff members The Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) student chapter has been inaugurated in the Department of Civil Engineering, MAMCET on 8 th August 2017 and the one day workshop on Concrete Mix Design had also been conducted by UltraTech for the students. The chairman of ICI, Trichy chapter Dr. C. Natarajan, Professor, NITT inaugurated the student chapter in the presence of Dr. M. Sudakar, Secretary, ICI Trichy chapter, Dr. J. Willaims, Principal, Dr. G. Haridoss, VP, Dr. K.Sasiekalaa, HoD/Civil, MAMCET and UltraTech team. Further Dr.C.Natarajan gave a motivational speech for the students about the competitive examinations and the openings available for the civil engineers. Dr. M.Sudakar added to the professors speech with the upcoming areas in the civil engineering. The day was then opened for the UltraTech team for the workshop on concrete mix design. The brief lecture and the mix design worksheet calculation was carried out followed by the practical session on mix proportioning had been conducted. The programme was concluded with the thought provoking speech given by officials of Ultra Tech and ended with the distribution of certificates.

8 In Association with Cheif guest : Blood Donation Camp : C-ENTITE : 30 th August & 10am 4.30pm : Mamcet college students and staff members : Newton Hall : Dr. A. ZameerPashaM.S., F.I.C.S., F.I.A.M.S., F.A.I.S., M.A.M. College of Engineering and Technology and C-ENTITE (Civil Engineering Association) with the help of Manapparai Government hospital organized a blood donation camp in the college premises on 30 th August The camp was inaugurated in the presence of Dr.A.Zameer Pasha., M.S., F.I.C.S., F.I.A.M.S., F.A.I.S., Dr.J.William, Principal, M.A.M. College of Engineering and Technology, Dr.K.Sasiekalaa, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, faculty members and the students. Dr.A.Zameer Pasha gave an awareness speech among the students on donating blood. The speech motivated the students to volunteer themselves to donate blood and save the life of the needy. Nearly 120 students participated in the camp. The camp ended by 4p.m.
