Holy Cross freshman Aly Spencer netted her league-leading fifth game-winner of the season in a 1-0 win at American. Four different players scored as Navy earned its first PL win of the season by defeating Lafayette. Jenna Fisher s goal in the 65th minute allowed host Boston University to gain a 1-1 tie with Army. Bucknell s Jessie Ashworth and Lehigh s Ani Nahapetian each recorded eight saves in a 0-0 draw on Friday evening. Colgate, Holy Cross and Navy Pick up Patriot League Wins Colgate s Catherine Williams and Holy Cross Aly Spencer each netted game-winners to propel their squads to 1-0 wins over Loyola Maryland and American, respectively. Four different players found the back of the net for Navy as the Mids shut out Lafayette at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility on Friday. Bucknell s Jessie Ashworth and Lehigh s Ani Nahapetian each stopped eight shots as the teams battled to a 0-0 draw and Boston University need a goal from junior Jenna Fisher in the 65th minute to gain a 1-1 tie with Army. Patriot League Action on Wednesday and Saturday this Week Ten Patriot League games are on the docket this week with full schedules on both Wednesday and Saturday. On Wednesday, Holy Cross (9-0-2, 1-1) will put their unbeaten streak on the line when they host Boston University (5-3-2, 1-0-1) and Colgate (7-1-1, 2-0) welcomes Army (4-5-1, 1-0-1). Other 7 p.m. games Wednesday include American (3-8, 0-2) at Navy (5-3-3, 1-1), Lehigh (3-2-2, 1-0-1) at Lafayette (3-6, 0-2) and Bucknell (5-5-2, 0-1-1) at Loyola (4-5-1, 0-1-1). Navy travels to Colgate in the marquee matchup on the Saturday slate which also features Boston U.-Lehigh, American-Bucknell, Holy Cross-Lafayette and Loyola-Army. Boston University Celebrates 20 Years of Women s Soccer Boston University commemorated 20 years of women s soccer during Saturday s 1-1 draw with Army at Nickerson Field. Nancy Feldman, head coach of the defending Patriot League champions, has been at the helm of the Terriers program for each of the seasons and has led BU to 11 NCAA tournament appearances. Boston University hosted former student-athletes and their families, who participated in a ceremony at halftime. Kraemer had three goals, including two game-winners, as Navy posted wins over Mount St. Mary s and Lafayette. The three goals for the week bested Kraemer s previous season totals of two goals, achieved in both her junior and senior seasons. The senior is second on the Mids with eight points (three goals, two assists) this season. Corvias Defensive Player of the Week JADE SEABROOK, NAVY Sr., D, St. Paris, Ohio Seabrook scored a goal in a victory over Lafayette and helped anchor a Mids back line that shut out both the Pards and Mount St. Mary s in a 2-0 week. The senior played the most minutes of any field player this past week with 135 minutes and was instrumental in limiting the opponents to just four shots on goal and seven corner kicks. Corvias Goalkeeper of the Week ANI NAHAPETIAN, LEHIGH Jr., GK, Pleasanton, Calif. Nahapetian made some big saves and was stellar in goal to preserve a 0-0 double-overtime draw at Bucknell for her sixth career shutout and third this season. Finished the contest with eight saves, including a diving stop to her left in the 19th minute off a corner kick and a point-blank save at 61:16 to keep the game scoreless. Corvias Rookie of the Week ALY SPENCER, HOLY CROSS Fr., F, Tewksbury, Mass. Spencer extended her lead as the top Patriot League scorer with her eighth of the season in the Crusaders 1-0 win at American on Saturday when she lofted a shot in the 16th minute over the Eagles goalkeeper. It was the fifth game-winning goal for the Holy Cross freshman this season. Honorable Mention CARLY MCCABE, HOLY CROSS Sr., GK, Barrington, R.I. McCabe recorded her eight shutout of the season, stopping four shots in the Crusaders 1-0 win at American. JENNA FISHER, BOSTON UNIVERSITY Jr., F, Longmeadow, Mass. Fisher scored her fourth goal of the season, the equalizer in the 65th minute, as Boston University salvaged a 1-1 draw with Army. CATHERINE WILLIAMS, COLGATE, Jr., F/M, Buffalo, N.Y. Williams netted her second goal of the season, and first game-winner, with a golden goal in a 1-0 overtime win over Loyola Maryland. ERIN CUMMINGS, COLGATE, Jr., GK, Ashburn, Va. Cummings recorded two saves and posted her first shutout of the season in the Raiders 1-0 overtime win at Loyola Maryland. ALLY PASQUARIELLO, HOLY CROSS Sr., D, Suffield, Conn. Pasquariello played all 90 minutes and helped limit the American offense to four shots on target as the Crusaders recorded their ninth shutout this season. SAM GOTTLIEB, ARMY So., D, Arlington, Mass.
