2 Page 2 general information Edinburg Parks & Recreation Department The offices of the Parks & Recreation Department are located on 315 E. Palm Drive, Edinburg. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The City of Edinburg is a progressive organization focused on meeting the needs of the community and providing an exceptionally high quality of life. The Parks and Recreation Department is committed to providing citizens of all ages the opportunity to enjoy leisure activities in a unique relaxed setting, which emphasizes preservation of open spaces, high quality facilities, and an excellent variety of recreational programs. Box 1079, Edinburg, TX Refunds and transfers may be granted by stopping by the Edinburg Parks & Recreation Department located on 315 E. Palm Drive, Edinburg, Texas, or by calling at (956) A $3. per class/program administrative fee will be assessed on all refunds except when the class is cancelled by the Edinburg Parks & Recreation Department. Casas Superintendent of Right of Way The Right of Way Division is managed by Juan J. Casas, Right of Way Superintendent, with the assistance of Oscar Moreno, Right of Way Supervisor. The Right of Way Division covers 36.7 square miles through out the City of Edinburg with thirteen employees. Items covered by staff are mowing, weed eating, tree and palm tree trimming pick up trash and debris along the road way, removal of signs on light poles plus other additional duties.
