Curriculum is delivered by experienced and qualified staff members synthesizing traditional and modern teaching pedagogies. Various co-curricular activities like seminars, workshops, exhibitions, interdepartmental competitions etc., are facilitated to enrich the knowledge of the students. At Nazareth, we look into the comprehensive development of every student which incorporated 'Sports for Life' and thereby encouraging the student to identify the needs and realize his/her potentials. We also provide life enhancement programmes which contribute to the overall development of the students. We help the students to perceive every challenge as an opportunity to excel in their life. We have been assessed by NAAC with regard to Curriculum Enrichment, Teaching- Learning process, Research & Consultancy, Infrastructure, Student Progression, Leadership and Innovations etc., and have been accredited with 'B' Grade. 4 ORIGIN AND GROWTH The year 1976 saw the origin of Nazareth Nursery School with seven children. Over the years, it has grown leaps and bounds to accommodate more than 9000 students. C&D Educational Trust develops, formulates and implements various activities that impart education with deep sense of social upliftment and communal harmony. In the year 2000, Nazareth College of Arts and Science was started with non conventional and job oriented courses. Each course has been carefully selected with due consideration to the national agenda on employments. At our campus, we offer various opportunities for the students to excel in their extracurricular activities. Association activities are customary and compulsory component in our campus for all the departments. Various other platforms like National Service Scheme (NSS), Citizen Consumer Club (CCC), Youth Red Cross (YRC), Red Ribbon Club (RRC), Eco Club, Nazareth Centre for Skill Development, Nazareth Business Learning Centre (NBLC), Nazareth Software Research Lab (NSR Lab), College Industry Interaction Cell (CIIC), Cultural and Rotaract Club provide opportunities for the students to be proficient at all levels. The college also contemplates the welfare of the students. Grievance Cell, Women's Cell, Student Counseling Cell, Discipline Committee play a vital role in achieving the right frame of mind set of the students. Academic excellence is effected through Student Project & ED Cell, Student Study Cell and Training & Placement Cell, Student Reformation Cell, Empowerment Cell, Health Centre, Dramatics Club and Book Reading Club. 11 SELECTION PROCEDURE The short listed candidate will be called for a personal interview. Changes in date or time of interview will not be encouraged. Students will be selected on merit. Students who get through the interview are required to pay the fees immediately. All admissions are made provisionally at the discretion of the management, subject to the approval of the University. As per the guidelines from the Director of Collegiate Education 'Admission is subject to verification of mark certificates by the Director of Government Examinations and if the mark certificate is found to be bogus, admission is liable for cancellation, besides criminal action being taken'. 11
