College Planning & Recruiting The Big Picture T3 Elite will provide exposure, guidance, knowledge and tools to navigate the recruiting process T3 Elite employees ARE NOT Sports Agents! T3 Elite team fees guarantee player development in year round practices and fall/summer tournaments. Fees paid DO NOT in anyway guarantee a return of a college scholarship and/or offer. Do not invest in T3 Elite with the mindset of breaking even due to receiving an athletic scholarship Committing to T3 is a commitment to work year round on your game to improve as an individual and as a team

College coaches are not to hold recruiting conversations with studentathletes, parents, high school or club coaches prior to Sept. 1 of a studentathlete s junior year. College coaches can have evaluative conversations with high school/club coaches to get their take on a student-athlete s academics, athletic skills, speed, agility, personality, character, work ethic, coachability, etc. College coaches are permitted to tell a club coach that they are interested in a player, but cannot tell them they are a top prospect or where they may be on their list of recruits. They cannot set up future discussions or visits with a student-athlete through a coach, discuss potential financial aid or scholarship offers or ask about a student-athlete s interest level in their school until that Sept. 1 date.

When Do I Begin? Pace of Recruiting DI CURRENT STATUS: Division I Track Start early in Freshman year 2019S: TOP 60 COLLEGES - VERY FAR ALONG OR FINISHED. SOME SCHOOLS HOLD ONE SPOT BACK FOR LATE ADDS/LATE BLOOMERS. SEPT 1 BUSY FOR 2019S, VISITS/OFFERS PENDING 2020S: YOU WILL BE THE MAIN FOCUS FROM FALL 2017 THROUGH MID SUMMER TOP SCHOOLS IDENTIFYING TOP TIER 2020S PLAYERS NOW. DUE TO SEPT 1 RULE CHANGE, PROCESS SLOWED DOWN, MOST IMPORTANT YEAR IS THIS UPCOMING FALL/SUMMER 2021S: YOU WILL BE WATCHED MORE SERIOUSLY BY TOP SCHOOLS AT THE END OF SUMMER. EARLY OFFERS CAN NO LONGER BE MADE, YOUR MOST IMPORTANT RECRUITING TIME IS NEXT FALL/SUMMER FOR DI. BUT WE DO EXPECT TO SEE DI COACHES ON THE 2021 SIDELINES THIS SUMMER

When Do I Begin? Pace of Recruiting DII AND DIII STATUS : Division II/III Track Start mid Sophomore year, busiest time is Junior year HEAVILY RECRUITED 2018S THIS PAST SUMMER, OFFERS MADE THIS SUMMER AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH FALL, LAST LOOK FOR COLLEGES THIS FALL MOST DII/DIII S WILL WATCH 2019 S THIS FALL UNTIL END OF SUMMER 2018, OFFERS WILL BEGIN FROM A FEW AGGRESSIVE SCHOOLS AFTER FALL. MOST OFFERS COME AFTER JULY 1 FOLLOWING JUNIOR YEAR MOST DII/III S WILL NOT WATCH 2020 S UNTIL NEXT FALL (FALL OF JUNIOR YEAR). WE DO NOT EXPECT TO SEE MANY DII/III COACHES ON THE 2020 SIDELINES THIS SUMMER NESCAC SCHOOLS: NEED JUNIOR YEAR GRADES. JULY 1ST IS EARLY READ.

WHEN do I begin? Recruiting Timelines College Coach timelines vary by division therefore player timeline varies Reality Check!! 2019 S IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY DI INTEREST BY FALL OF JUNIOR YEAR THEN YOU ARE ON A DII/DIII TRACK S IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY INTEREST FROM DI SCHOOLS AFTER FALL PLAY, THEN YOU COULD BE ON A DII/DIII TRACK. IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE ANY DI FEEDBACK AFTER SUMMER PLAY, YOU ARE ON A DII/DIII TRACK 2021 S IF YOU RECEIVE EARLY INTEREST FROM A DI SCHOOL AFTER FALL OR SUMMER, YOU ARE MOST LIKELY ON A DI TRACK. BUT, WITH RECRUITING SLOWDOWN, WE DO NOT EXPECT TO GET MUCH FEEDBACK ON 2021 S THIS FALL/SUMMER.

How do I begin? Software helps you manage your recruiting process Another tool to generate interest and gauge coach interest Monitor profile views and video views, monitor receipt of your outgoing s Webinars to help you maximize your time spent on the recruiting process Ability to upload games and highlights FILM IS IMPORTANT! 5 Minute Highlight Reel include all aspects of your game, on-ball/off-ball, offense and defense. You can create on your own, or hire someone of your choice Access to professional video services Tutorials Activate your account Start online profile Build college list 18

Building A College List REMEMBER THE PRIORITIES!!! Academics Athletics Financial Recruiting Energy Focus on academic fit first! Ivy and Patriot using team Academic Index, need to meet admission criteria for athlete. Does the school have lacrosse and can I play at their level? (competing nationally for 6-8 spots) What are the family financial parameters for finding the right fit school? Does the school meet demonstrated need? Spend time and money on the schools that meet your needs best. Seek advice from a coach or coordinator for best use of time before signing up for multiple camps

How Do I Start A College List? Size Competition Power Ranking Location Team Success Team Size Majors Offered Aspects to Consider Cost Past Team Record Lax Perspective Class size on Team Conference Division Academic Playing Style Coaching Style Coach History 20

Academic Criteria for Recruitable Athletes STUDENT ATHLETES MUST MEET NCAA MINIMUMS FOR DI OR DII Link to New NCAA minimums: Click Here Sliding Scale - For Division I Core GPA SAT ACT Sum

Academic Index (AI) Academic Index: an equation factoring together GPA and SAT/ACT scores, estimated class rank, and SAT II (Ivy League) to get a score between (240 being the best) *Academic Index baseline numbers for conferences and schools vary from year to year Patriot League Average AI above 200 Typical Patriot league athlete has 3.8 GPA and above 1200/1600 (higher for certain majors) Ivy League Each school has a different and closely guarded AI and is computed by averaging the individual AI of every student on campus Typical Ivy League athlete will have GPA and 2000/2400 on SAT Depending on the school, the coach may have impact on the admissions process and possible assistance with coach support slots Sample AI Calculator Old to New SAT Score Converter 24

ACADEMICS FIRST! FOCUS ON YOUR ACADEMICS STARTING FRESHMAN YEAR! GPA IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT - COACHES ARE GETTING EARLY READS FOR ADMISSION AFTER FRESHMAN AND SOPHOMORE YEAR GRADES WHEN APPROACHING THE SATS/ACTS WHICH OF FOLLOWING IS APPROPRIATE? A IF PURSUING THE DI TRACK, YOU SHOULD TAKE AS EARLY AS SPRING OF SOPHOMORE YEAR, AND KEEP RETAKING. HAVE A SOLID SCORE BEFORE SEPT 1 OF JUNIOR YEAR B FOR DIII TRACK, YOU SHOULD HAVE BASELINE SCORE BY FALL OF JUNIOR YEAR, THEN RETAKE C D YOU SHOULD TAKE THE PSATS IN THE FALL OF SOPHOMORE YEAR ALL OF THE ABOVE 25

ACADEMICS FIRST! FOCUS ON YOUR ACADEMICS STARTING FRESHMAN YEAR! GPA IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT - BELOW ARE THE PERCENTAGES OF SCHOOLS THAT CAN RECRUIT YOU BASED ON YOUR GPA ALONE GPA % 94% 72% 51% 21% 8%

SOME SCHOOLS CAN COMBINE ACADEMIC, ATHLETIC AND EVEN SOMETIMES FINANCIAL AID. SOME CANNOT. ASK TO FIND OUT! IVY LEAGUE SCHOOLS DO NOT OFFER ATHLETIC $$ BUT THEY OFFER VARIOUS TYPES OF ACADEMIC AID DEPENDENT ON ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OR FINANCIAL PROFILE.

Division I Scholarships What Are the Odds? $12,884 Average athletic scholarship across all players in DI programs in ,000 Women compete on DI teams nationally. Approximately 750 players per class. 3.8% Of high school payers will go on to play DI lacrosse. 5-8 Number of players each college chooses NATIONALLY 28

Division II & III Scholarships DIVISION II 137 SCHOOLS WITH WOMEN S LACROSSE FULLY FUNDED PROGRAMS HAVE 9.9 SCHOLARSHIPS AND THEY USUALLY GET DIVIDED UP SOME WILL STACK ATHLETIC AND ACADEMIC MONEY DIVISION III 282 SCHOOLS AND GROWING DO NOT OFFER ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIPS BUT HAVE MANY SOURCES OF MERIT AID, ACADEMIC, FINANCIAL AID, ETC DEPENDING ON THE SCHOOL, THE COACH MAY HAVE IMPACT ON THE ADMISSIONS PROCESS AND POSSIBLE ASSISTANCE TO ACCESS AI ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS CAN OFTEN EXCEED ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP YOUR CHANCES OF ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP WILL VARY BY SCHOOL. THIS DEPENDS ON HOW YOU COMPARE ACADEMICALLY TO MAJORITY OF STUDENTS ATTENDING/APPLYING.

Financials/Financial AID The cost of education many schools over $60,000/year Consider the family budget will price impact your college choice? Plan your recruiting efforts accordingly! If price is an issue, search for schools with better Financial Aid packages, higher Academic scholarships and schools that combine Academic and Athletic funds. PRIVATE SCHOOLS: HIGHER PRICE BUT BETTER FINANCIAL AID PUBLIC SCHOOLS: MORE REASONABLY PRICED Fill out FAFSFA forms, CSS profile (non federal aid) and find out EFC Find schools that meet 100% of demonstrated need Tools and Calculators Click the box FAFSFA Forms Click the box
