This revision of the University Calendar is recommended by the Committee to correct a difficult problem of conflict. The final examination oerlod for the first semest er of the Calendar,. which was approved by the Faculty Senate on Narch , conflicts with four basketball games. These games had been scheduled according to the University Calendar approved by the Faculty Senate on March 14, 1963 and published in the 1963 University Catalog., No conflict existed at that time. The revi sed Calendar, presented in section A, above, largely correct s the examination period basketball conflict by l engthening the fall semester, thus moving t he examinat ion period later into the calendar year by ~ few days.
