3 FROM THE OFFICE Annual Meeting with Theresa and Tina Tuesday May 22nd 6:00 p.m. Hillcrest Community Center PLEASE PLAN ON ATTENDING THE ANNUAL COMMUNITY MEETING WITH THERESA AND TINA Community Garden Spring is here and so is our Community Garden. The Community Garden (located next to the Community Center) is comprised of both in-ground beds and raised container pots for you to plant your own fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers. If having your own plot sounds like too much for you, there is another way to help. You can join some of our residents who plant and grow for the Scarborough Food Pantry. In partnership with Project Grace, we have garden plots dedicated to growing for the Scarborough Food Pantry. Last year, our garden provided over 175 pounds of fresh produce to the Scarborough Food Pantry, and the hope is to be able to give even more this year. If you are interested in joining the garden and haven t done so yet, there is a limited amount of space still available. Don t wait, sign up with Andrew today!!! We will be holding two garden clean up days to get our garden ready. We will be cleaning out the gardens, spreading fresh compost and wood chips and tilling or aerating to get ready for the growing season. Once the garden is ready, you will be able to start planting, and soon be able to enjoy your bounty. The clean-up days will be on Thursday May 10th from 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. and Saturday May 12th from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.. If you have a plot, please plan on attending at least one of the clean-up days. Remember, many hands makes for light work.
