1 Jerry Coleman Designer, LLC Work Experience Jerry L Coleman Designer LLC (self employed) [2005-present] In 2005 I decided to leave the old firm and venture out on my own and start my own practice working part-time, while staying home with our young son part-time. I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to work with some wonderful clients and on some great houses. Scope of work includes, project programming, schematic design, engineering systems coordination, code research, material specification and selection, landscape design, and construction observation. The majority of my projects were small remodel/additions on 1920 era homes in the Highland Park and University Park. I also had the opportunity to branch out into Interior Architecture, working with designers such as Ann Schooler, Peter Schifando, Jane Rejebian, & Martha Sweezey. I designed interiors for projects in Dallas, California, Colorado, Deleware, & Dubai. J Wilson Fuqua & Associates -Architects, Dallas Texas [ ] J Wilson Fuqua & Assoc. is a small five person architecture firm concentrating on high-end residential design and contract administration on 1920 s era houses. Scope of work includes, project programming, schematic design, engineering systems coordination, code research, material specification and selection, and construction observation. I worked for five years as a Project Architect on various levels of projects from small remodel additions to seventeen thousand square foot new construction. The primary area of interest of the firm was in the area of historic preservation and large additions. VCC Construction Company, Little Rock Arkansas [ ] My primary duties there were bidding new projects, writing contracts, and managing numerous jobs at once. Vratsinas Construction Company (VCC), Little Rock, Arkansas Project Manager, Main Office: VCC is ranked 153rd of the top 400 construction companies and the 9 th top retail construction companies by ENR. At VCC I started working in the field as a Project Administrator and had a great learning the trades and helping the Superintendents run the construction jobs. After a few months I was promoted to Project Manager and officed out of the Little Rock Headquarters. My scope of work included, project acquisition, bidding, buyout, and off-site construction management. Construction projects participated on range in price from $250k to $38 million dollars.

2 Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas [ ] Estimator / Planner, TAMU Physical Plant: Met with requesting campus departments to aid in design and planning of new renovation and construction. After initial design phase, provided an estimate of costs, schedule, cost control, and (when necessary) construction supervision. Knowledge base required: Construction codes, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Fire Life Safety Codes (NFPA), use of Word Perfect, Excel, Schedule+, and Microsoft Project. Main Street Project, Bryan, Texas [ ] Volunteer (Intern): Worked with program director to identify property owners and map the downtown historic district. Also aided with a program to encourage property owners to strip off the 1960 s modern facades and reveal the original brick and cast iron detailing. Group 4 Architects, Bryan, Texas [ ] Draftsman (Internship): Small six person architecture firm that primarily concerned itself with residential and commercial construction and interior design. Knowledge base required: AutoCad release 12, Standard Building Codes, and basic wood frame construction practices.
