Exact Cash, Checks, money order, Credit Card Please make checks payable to: LA City, Dept. of Rec & Parks *A Collection Fee will be charged for each check returned by the bank. Important information Refund Policy Full refunds are only issues when Penmar Rec Center cancels the activity. A 15% cancellation fee is assessed for all refunds. Changes or transfers per class, sport league or day camp registration maybe assessed additional fees. After the first day of the session, Penmar issues a partial refund to patrons withdrawing from the activity. All refund requests must be made between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. They do take 4-6 weeks to process. Tennis Courts Tennis courts are open 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily on a first come first served basis. Must come inside our office to reserve your spot. Court rules are posted along the court fences. Please respect court rules. NO PRIVATE LESSONS ALLOWED! Class Information Summer Class Schedule Most Classes BEGIN the week of July 16th administration reserves the right to cancel or combine any classes due to low enrollment. All classes are on a first come first serve basis Participants must have reached the minimum age for classes by the first day Classes will not be in session on holidays observed by the City of Los Angeles Any classes that is cancelled by Penmar RC Staff will be made up at the end of the session. Classes will not be made up if the student is absent; including illness Persons with disabilities are welcome to participate in our programs. 10 Registration: Space is limited. Sign-ups are taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign-ups begin Monday, April 23rd. Completed registration forms must be accompanied by a completed emergency card (which will be taken on all field trips). Come by our office to register. Attendance: You may select which weeks you wish to have your child attend. Campers MAY NOT attend only on field trip days. Campers MUST be enrolled the EN- TIRE WEEK to attend field trips. Campers MUST wear a camp T-shirt everyday. Cell phones, electronic devices, skateboards, candy and toys are NOT allowed at camp. Field Trips: It is mandatory that each camper wears a CURRENT camp T-shirt on all field trip days. There will be no Camp for any camper who is late or who chooses not to attend field trips. Please refer to field trip information on the following pages. We recommend that all campers bring no more than $30 on each field trip. You may wish to send your camper with a snack. Backpacks, hats, visors, and sunscreen are also recommended. Staff is not responsible for any lost items. Lunch: The Summer Nutrition Program will provide free lunch to all campers on non-field trip days, subject to availability. Campers may also choose to bring lunch from home. Snacks and a beverage will be provided by. Swimming: Campers ages 5-6 will have water play at the recreation center. Campers ages 7-11 will swim on Tuesdays at the Venice High School swimming pool. Appropriate swim wear is required (bathing suit, trunks with lining, towel). Swim Time: 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. All Staff are trained and are CPR/First Aid Certified. Camper to Counselor Ratio is 1 to 10. Classes and or programs being offered may be subject to cancellation.
