Forever Red puts on programs that give alumni recognition for their accomplishments and gives students the chance to plan these wonderful events. Residence Housing Association General Asssembly Member Also known as RHA, the group has a focus on insuring that the on-campus students are comfortably living by hosting weekly meeting, programs to have interaction with those who live in the same living centers with you, and working on concerns that residents may have. Programming Committee A subcommittee of Residential Housing Association, the purpose of the programming committee is to plan the events, large and small for on-campus residents. Jarod has helped plan, put on, and take down all the programs. Leadership Development Committee Another subcommittee of Residential Housing Association, this committee works on expanding the leadership qualities of those in the group and the whole of on-campus students. After selected Residential Housing Association meetings, this committee puts on miniature programs that get students involved with expanding their leadership traits and abilities. First Year Board (Residential Housing Association Representative) First Year Board is the council of the First Year Suites, a residential community for first year students that puts on individual programs and works to build a community of on-campus freshman. Jarod s role as the representative for Residential Housing Association is to report to RHA what his council is doing and vice versa. Intramural Sports Jarod played sand and indoor volleyball through intramural sports 3

5 Hooked on Helping Cardinals In Action (CIA) This is a group of freshman students that is focused on volunteering in the Saginaw Community. Once a month the group volunteers for a different social issue that gives us an idea how important the injustice is to the area. Jarod has gotten the oppotunity to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, Girls on the Run, and Old Town Christian Outreach Center. Not only has Jarod gotten involved in volunteering within our Saginaw community with CIA, he has also been chosen to attend an Alternative Breaks trip during his spring break. He gets to travel to Maryland to volunteer at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and he is excited to expand his volunteer experience. 4
