4 SPANISH TUTORING Heilicher partners with Qué Tal, a highly sought-after language school that provides extra-curricular Spanish in many school districts in the Twin Cities metro. Qué Tal s native Spanish-speaking instructors integrate culture, music, games, and history into their lessons with a goal to give students a solid foundation in Spanish verbal comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing. Private tutors are available for individual or small group lessons after school at Heilicher. 5 New Grade 6-8 Program! GIRLS ON THE RUN Back by popular demand, Girls on the Run encourages girls to gain a better understanding of who they are and what s important to them. With emphasis on teamwork and healthy relationships, this program demonstrates how girls can have a positive impact on the world through a community impact project. Physical activity is woven into the program to inspire an appreciation for fitness and healthy habits. The girls also learn life skills including treating others with care, practicing gratitude, and managing emotions. The session finishes with a celebratory, non-competitive Girls on the Run 5K event. Minimum of 8 students needed to have a Girls on the Run team. Maximum 20 girls. ART MESS TO THE MAX! We will be maximizing the mess to make this art class the very best! Get excited to paint with plaster, sculpt with gooey gunk, make papier mache puppies, and fling paint like Jackson Pollack. We will even learn some cool stuff along the way. FALL SPORTS GRADES K 2 CO-ED ENTRY-LEVEL BIKE SKILLS AUGUST 27 OCTOBER 18, 2018 Before August 15: $250 Standard Price: $300 One Day Option before August 15: $130 The grades K-2 Heilicher Lions beginner group will practice body positioning, shifting, braking, cornering, ascending, and descending techniques with the goal of progressing to the Heilicher Lions Development Team. We will bike on paths adjacent to Heilicher and the Sabes JCC. Helmets and bikes required.* MINIMUM OF 6 REGISTRANTS IS REQUIRED FOR *Several helmets and bikes of various sizes are available to students needing equipment support on a first come, first served basis.
