1 SAFE DEPOSIT BOX PROMOTION: 50% OFF FIRST YEAR RENTAL FEE PROMOTION PERIOD Last updated on 6 June 2018 The Hong Leong Bank Berhad (97141-X) ( HLB ) Safe Deposit Box Promotion: 50% off First Year Rental Fee ( Promotion ) commences between 1 March 2018 and ends on 30 June 2018, both dates inclusive ( Promotion Period ), unless notified otherwise. TERMS AND CONDITIONS The following sets out the terms and conditions applicable to the Promotion ( T&Cs ):- ELIGIBILITY 1. The Promotion is open to all new and existing individuals and non-individuals, including Malaysian and non- Malaysian Residents ( Customers ). 2. For the avoidance of doubt, (i) New customers refer to Customers who have not rented a Safe Deposit Box ( SDB ) with HLB prior to the Promotion Period (ii) Non-individual Customers refer to associations, clubs, schools, societies, non-profit organizations, sole proprietors, partnerships, professional practices and companies duly registered or incorporated in Malaysia; and (iii) HLB and Hong Leong Islamic Bank Berhad s ( W) ( HLISB ) staff (whether permanent or on contractual basis) are excluded from participating in this Promotion. 3. The Customers participation in this Promotion is subject to the T&Cs stated herein and the Terms and Conditions governing the hiring of SDB. PROMOTION MECHANICS 4. In order for the Eligible Customers to be entitled for the Offer, the Eligible Customers are required to make the Annual Rental Fee payment on the day of SDB hiring. 6. For the avoidance of doubt, the Offer is only for first year Annual Rental Fee and for subsequent year(s), the original Annual Rental Fee will be applicable. 7. This Offer is valid on a first-come, first-served basis. Notification will be given in the event any or all of the SDB are fully occupied by posting on the HLB s website at ( HLB s Website ). 8. Each SDB shall have two (2) sets of keys, namely the A key which shall be kept by HLB and B key which shall be delivered to the Eligible Customers on payment of a deposit and the rental. 9. Eligible Customers are required to open or nominate a Current or Savings Account ( CASA ) maintained with HLB under the name of the Eligible Customers ( Nominated CASA ) for the purpose of debiting the subsequent Annual Rental Fee (in the event that the rental period is more than a year) and the key deposit as and when the same shall become due and payable. In the event that the Eligible Customer does not have a CASA, the Eligible Customer is required to open a CASA on the day of SDB hiring, failing which the Eligible Customer shall not be qualified to participate in the Promotion. 10. SDB Annual Rental Fee is not refundable in the event that the Eligible Customers terminate the hiring of the SDB before the end of the rental period. 11. The SDB is subject to the terms and conditions governing the hiring of SDB stipulated by HLB. GENERAL 12. By participating in this Promotion, Customers agrees: (i) to have read, understood and to be bound by the T&Cs herein and the Terms and Conditions governing the hiring of SDB; (ii) that HLB s decision on all matters relating to the Promotion shall be final, conclusive and binding on all Eligible Customers and no further correspondence and / or appeal to dispute HLB s decision shall be entertained; (iii) to access HLB s Website at regular time intervals to view the T&Cs of the Promotion and ensure to be kept up-to-date on any changes or variations to the T&Cs; and (iv) to be liable and shall personally bear all applicable taxes, government fees or any other charges that may be levied against them under applicable laws, if any, in relation to their participation in the Promotion. 13. HLB reserves the right: (i) at any time with twenty-one (21) calendar days prior notice to add, delete, suspend or vary the T&Cs contained herein, either wholly or in part at HLB s discretion by way of posting on the amended T&Cs on HLB s Website, or in any manner deemed suitable by HLB; (ii) to replace the Offer with alternative offers of similar value at its absolute discretion, by way of posting on HLB s Website or in any other manner which HLB deems practical, in order to give prior notice to Customers (iii) to disqualify any Customers for any reason whatsoever as HLB may in its absolute discretion deemed fit, from participating in the Promotion without assigning any reason thereof; and 2

3 (iv) to forfeit the Offer in the event that there is non-compliance with the T&Cs stated herein and the Terms and Conditions governing the hiring of SDB and any appeal to HLB s such decision shall not be entertained 14. The T&Cs herein and the Terms and Conditions governing the hiring of SDB shall be read as an entire agreement. In the event of any discrepancy between the T&Cs herein and the Terms and Conditions governing the hiring of SDB, the specific T&Cs herein shall prevail to the extent of such discrepancy. 15. In the event of any discrepancy between the T&Cs herein and any advertising, promotional, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with the Promotion, the final T&Cs on HLB s Website shall prevail. 16. The T&Cs shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia and the Customers agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Malaysia. 3
