The Clubhouse is available exclusively to Rancho Sahuarita residents and their guests. In addition to being a center for resident activity and recreation, various locations within our Clubhouse are available for rent and use by residents. FITNESS CENTER AT CLUB RANCHO SAHUARITA Club Rancho Sahuarita s Fitness Center includes state-of-the-art cardio equipment, fixed weight machines, and strength training equipment (including dumbbells, barbells, free weights and cable machines). Residents must be 16 or older to use the Fitness Center. (Children 13 to 15 years of age may use the Fitness Center with parental supervision). Hours of Operation Monday Thursday: Open 24 Hours Friday: 12:00 midnight 9:00 p.m. Saturday: 7:00 a.m. 9:00 p.m. Sunday: 8:00 a.m. 12:00 midnight KIDS TIME While parents are using the Fitness Center or catching up on work, children can enjoy Kids Time. Rancho Sahuarita offers supervised child care at a cost of $3.00 per hour per child (limit of two hours). This service is available for children 4 months to 6 years of age. (Parents must remain on the premises.) Storytime for Tots Thursday, May 10, August 9 & 23 10:30 a.m. Guest readers will share their favorite children s stories and a craft or activity. This activity is perfect for children 3 years of age and older and their parents. No registration is required for this free event. Healthy Living Series Saturday, May 19, June 9, July 21, & August 18 10:00 a.m. Join our staff nutritionist, Sarah Marrs, as she features a series of different lectures and cooking demonstrations focusing on how to live healthier lifestyles. The evening will feature a movie beginning at 8:00 p.m. Toddler Camp Thursday, May 17 & August 16 10:30 a.m. Children 2 to 4 years of age, along with their parent(s), can attend a camp featuring arts, crafts, stories, dancing, singing and more! No registration is required, and the camp is free. Mother s Day Card Making Saturday, May 12 10:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. Show Mom how much you love her with a custom-made Mother s Day card. Children can come to Club Rancho Sahuarita to create a special card for Mom and Grandma. The fee is $2.00 per child, and no registration is required. Staff will also be on hand to help children with their creations. Water Park Grand Opening Saturday, May 26 10:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. Celebrate the official start of summer with the grand opening of the water park at Club Rancho Sahuarita! Enjoy good music, poolside entertainment and more! Memorial Day Weekend Celebration! Saturday, May 26 & Sunday, May 27 Join us for a special holiday weekend full of sun and family fun. Children can come to the Clubhouse and make their Dad and Grandpa a card from the heart. The fee is $2.00 per child and no registration is required. Staff will be on hand to help children with their cards. Karaoke Night Friday, June 22 6:00 9:00 p.m. Come and enjoy a night of fun and Karaoke to some of your favorite songs with your neighbors. No registration or entry fee is required. There will be complimentary appetizers and drink tickets will be available for purchase at $3.50 each. There will be a drawing for a TV and other prizes. Please note that you must be 21 years of age or older to attend. The Kids Time and Pre-Teen rooms will be open for your child care needs (*Kids Time reservations are required). American Red Cross Blood Drive Saturday, June 23 9:00 a.m. 3:00 p.m. Give the gift of life by donating at one of our many blood drives held throughout the year. To register for a specific blood drive, please call or log onto redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor code: Rancho. Remember identification is required to donate at all blood drives. Date Night - Dinner and a Movie Saturday, July 28 7:00 10:30 p.m. Teen Lock-In Friday, August 10 - Saturday, August 11 8:00 p.m. 6:00 a.m. Calling all Teens! Come out for a night of fun that includes swimming, outdoor activities, and a movie on the big screen! A snack station and drinks will be available the entire night. If you are interested, please contact the Lifestyle Department at Special Edition Movie Night Saturday, August 25 6:00 10:00 p.m. Come and join us for this enchanting evening. The movie will begin promptly at 8:00 p.m. Coffee and Canines Friday, August 31 8:00 9:30 a.m. Residents and their furry four-legged friends are invited to come out and enjoy complimentary coffee, donuts, bagels, and also a few healthier options on the outdoor Terrace. Each canine will receive a complimentary treat bag to take home. Refreshments and treats will be available for them at the event as well. Please note that no registration or fee is required for this event, but all canines must be kept on a leash at all times. Concert Under the Stars Saturday, May 26 7:00 10:00 p.m. Join us for a free concert under the night sky. The evening will include a live band and an array of food trucks. There is no fee or registration required for this event, which is sure to be fun for the whole family! Summer Open Rec Program Monday Thursday beginning June 4 July 12 12:00 4:30 p.m. Anza Trail School Gym Rancho Sahuarita, SUSD, and the Town of Sahuarita Parks and Recreation Department have teamed up to offer an indoor alternative to the summer heat for children 6 to 13 years of age. Activities designed to engage children s creativity and encourage fitness through play will be available. This program requires pre-registration for each week offered. Children 10 years of age and older may come and go as desired. Children 6 to 9 years of age must be signed in and out. For additional guidelines and to register, please go to Red, White, and Boom! Wednesday, July 4 6:00 10:00 p.m. Sahuarita Lake Park Rancho Sahuarita, the Town of Sahuarita, and other community partners have teamed up to bring back a firework display to the Sahuarita Lake Park! The evening will include live bands, family entertainment, food vendors and more! The evening will end with a fantastic fireworks show! Don t miss it! Canoe Days Saturday, August 11 & Sunday, August 12 9:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. Sahuarita Lake Park The Town of Sahuarita, Boy Scouts, and Rancho Sahuarita are proud to bring you Canoe Days This yearly ritual is a great way to try canoeing in a safe environment. No fee or registration is required. Come and enjoy the lake right in your backyard! Come and join us for a date night out under the stars. Residents and their dates will enjoy dinner and dessert while watching a movie on the big screen. Dinner will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. and the movie will begin at 8:00 p.m. A $25.00 fee per couple is required and space is limited. 6 THE SAGUARO CLUB SAGUARO CLUB EVENTS The Saguaro Club gives us the ability to enjoy hassle-free entertainment. We love coming to the Clubhouse and hopping on the bus for new adventures. We have become great friends with members and we enjoy seeing them all at once on our trips. RICK B. The Saguaro Club is well run and reasonably priced. It s so wonderful to go on group outings to places we might not normally go to on our own. We would love to have more people join us for the outings and events. We have a great time! The Saguaro Club, Rancho Sahuarita s multi-community membership club for active adult residents, (age 55 and older) is excited to introduce exciting new events and activities. It s the perfect time to join or renew your membership! Active adults that live in Rancho Sahuarita, Rancho Resort or in the Sonora by Del Webb community are invited to join the Saguaro Club and have access to exclusive Saguaro Club events; including Saguaro Club Explore AZ outings with chartered bus excursions to sites throughout Arizona. Recent trips include to the Kitt Peak Observatory, the Odysea Aquarium and to Arizona Diamondbacks Games. Also new this year are shorter excursions called Saguaro Club Days Out. Recent trips include to Brunch at Prep and Pastry, to Tucson Art Galleries and to the Tucson Gem Show. In addition, Saguaro Club members are invited to enjoy private happy hour mixers, healthy cooking demonstrations, indoor vs and a new exciting yoga and wine event. These events are in addition to events that are already organized by individual community HOAs. We are so excited to continue growing the membership of the Saguaro Club, said Rancho Sahuarita Resident Relations Manager, Kristina Moreno. She went on to say It s a great avenue for active adults in our community to get to know each other and go places they might not normally visit. Saguaro Club Membership can be purchased at the Rancho Sahuarita Clubhouse or the Rancho Resort Clubhouse, and a membership is only $18.75 a person, annually. With each annual membership, Saguaro Club members also receive a bundle of guest passes for use at Club Rancho Sahuarita (including the Splash Park), which come in handy if guests or grandchildren are visiting. Don t miss out on the opportunity to meet new friends and see new sights. We will handle all the details, and you just have to come along, enjoy yourself, and join the fun! Gals, get out your poodle skirts and guys, polish up your shoes and join us. There will be light appetizers and live music. No registration is necessary. Explore AZ: Laffs Comedy Club Saturday, August 18 6:00 10:30 p.m. Saguaro Club members will leave Club Rancho Sahuarita at 6:00 p.m. on a chartered bus to Laffs Comedy Club in Tucson and will return at approximately 10:30 p.m. Members will enjoy the humor of Tom Clark. Cardio-Kickboxing Monday & Thursday 7:00 p.m. Tuesday & Wednesday 5:00 a.m. An intense, full-body interval routine that will empower and motivate you. The work out consists of boxing and kickboxing movements mixed with martial arts. Circuit Shred Monday & Wednesday 8:00 a.m. This is high intensity, interval training using weights and muscular endurance. Core and More Monday 5:00 a.m. Wednesday 5:00 p.m. Friday 8:00 a.m. This high intensity strength training class uses balance and total body exercises to build your core. Country Heat Tuesday & Thursday 9:00 a.m. Are you ready for a Round Up, Show Down and Throw Down? Country Heat is a great cardio workout to country music combined with strength training using your bodyweight. Have fun, burn calories and tone muscles all at the same time! Cycling Monday 8:00 a.m. & 6:00 p.m. Wednesday 8:00 a.m. Thursday 5:00 a.m. Friday 9:30 a.m. Join us for this calorie-burning workout in which residents use stationary bikes to climb hills and race through sprints; all while listening to great music (racing through the great outdoors with our virtual trip). Please bring water and a towel to class. Space is limited to the first 15 participants. Dance 2 Fit Saturday 7:15 a.m. This dance class uses various types of popular hip-hop music and weight to create an aggressive but rewarding full body workout. Hiking Club Saturday (Offered September through April) The Hiking Club charters weekly expeditions to various hiking areas. The club meets every Saturday morning in the Club Rancho Sahuarita parking lot. Weekly hikes are posted on ActiveNet with the meeting times. Emphasis is on fun, so you and your partner can easily acquire new moves that you can take right to the dance floor. Dress comfortably and wear non-stick, smooth soled shoes. *Must bring a partner. Kids Yoga Saturday 9:00 a.m. A 45-minute class that brings fun to Yoga and mindfulness. Lessons are presented with stories brought to life through yoga postures. Instructor Amy is certified in the Cosmic Kids Yoga method, which addresses kids of varying ages (preferably children ages 4 to 7) and those with additional needs. This class combines the love of music with choreographed dance moves. The moves are done in a repeated sequence of steps by individuals in a group. This is a great low-impact exercise where you can make new friends while dancing to the latest country and western music. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move and shoes that let you slide/glide on the wood flooring. This class is great for residents 18 to 90 years of age, and is held in the Vistoso Studio. Meditation Tuesday 11:00 a.m. A traditional 20 minutes of meditation following Yoga. Pilates Tuesday 6:00 p.m. This is a 45-minute class focusing on cultivating a strong core to support lower back health and more. Wear comfortable workout clothes with socks or bare feet, and please bring a water bottle and a towel. Plank Your Body Tuesday & Thursday 8:00 a.m. Using your own body weight, learn to plank, hold squats and do pulsing lunges for a slow burn on the body. It is low impact with a focus on core strength and stability. R.I.P.P.E.D. Coming Soon This workout focuses on Resistance, Interval, Power, Plyometric, Endurance and Diet. Ultimate Boot Camp Saturday 8:00 a.m. Sunday 7:00 a.m. This program incorporates various cardio and strength building exercises in an outdoor environment. *The Sunday morning class is held at the Linear Park across the street from the Safari Park. Vinyasa Yoga Tuesday & Thursday 5:00 p.m. Challenge your body and bring a new perspective on what is possible for you in all aspects of your fitness, wellness and life.
