7 GENERAL INFORMATION Venue Name: Homer Bryce Stadium Location: 712 Hayter St. Directions to Nacogdoches: AUSTIN AREA = approximately 5 hours Take Highway 79 East to Marquez. Take Highway 7 East to Nacogdoches. DALLAS AREA = approximately 3.5 hours Take Highway 80 East to Interstate 20 East and follow I-20 to Kilgore. In Kilgore, take Highway 259 South to Nacogdoches. Highway 259 will become Highway 59 Business in Nacogdoches. (Take HWY 59 Business) HOUSTON AREA = approximately 2.5 hours Take Highway 59 North to Nacogdoches. Take Highway 59 Business. SAN ANTONIO AREA = approximately 5 hours Take Interstate 35 North to San Marcos. In San Marcos, take Highway 21 East through Bryan/College Station to Crockett. In Crockett, take Highway 7 East to Nacogdoches. SHREVEPORT AREA = approximately 1.5 hours Take Interstate 20 West. Take Highway 79 South to Carthage. Take Highway 59 South to Nacogdoches. Take Highway 59 Business. Directions to Homer Bryce Stadium: All access to stadium is located off of E. College Dr. E. College Dr. can be accessed from University Dr. or North St (HWY 59). 8 Homer Bryce Stadium: The seating capacity is approximately 14,500. The visiting team bench is located on the east sideline, facing the press box. An artificial Hellas-Matrix Turf was installed during the summer of Team Bus / Van Parking: Parking of team buses/vans is located on the Northeast side of Homer Bryce Stadium in lot 20. See the enclosed map for a detailed view. Parking in the auxiliary lot is strictly for officials. Team vans may drop off equipment, but may not park in the auxiliary lot. Please see the maps for directions. Warm Up Area: Teams will warm up on the South end of the infield. A designated viewing lane will be taped off for the timing crew s convenience. Visiting teams may set up camp in the east bleachers in the stadium, or north of the pond behind the scoreboard. Credentials will not be required for teams and coaches. However, no guests are allowed on the infield. Press Box The press box is located on the west side of the stadium, and can be accessed through the double glass doors on the north end of the building. Additionally, the working press area is located on the 2nd floor of the press box. Ticketing There are 3 entrances to Homer Bryce Stadium, where tickets will be sold and teams can gain access to the stadium. Entrances are located on the Southeast, Southwest, and Northwest corners of the stadium. Ticketing tables will be set up, and admission will be $5 per day. Medical Services: Each visiting athletic training staff will be contact by phone to discuss specific medical information from our Athletic Training Department. 10 MEDICAL INFORMATION The Stephen F. Austin Athletic Training Staff will make every effort to meet your medical needs while a guest of our University. Our staff will supply water, cups, and injury ice to all visiting teams for both practices and games. Emergency equipment will be available should the need arise. A host student athletic trainer will be assigned to your team for assistance as you deem necessary throughout the contest. Should emergency procedures be needed, your host will follow our protocol. Physicians will be either on site or available by phone for all SFA sponsored events. Should they be needed at other times, please contact our staff for assistance. Our facilities include four athletic training facilities. The primary training room is located in the field house at Homer Bryce Stadium. William R. Johnson Coliseum houses two training rooms: one adjacent to each home basketball locker room. The Shelton Gym athletic training room accommodates the medical needs for volleyball and tennis. Should your team travel without an athletic trainer or need special assistance, please contact us upon your arrival.
