7 BISHOP S ANNUAL APPEAL CAMPAIGN Please Support the Bishop s Annual Appeal For nearly three decades, the Bishop s Annual Appeal has served the unique needs of a growing, changing diocesan community, reaching thousands of our neighbors through a host of worthy ministries that rely on the BAA for support. Blessed by God, parishioners want to make a difference and ask a scriptural question: How can I repay the Lord for all the good done for me? This past year, 274 Catholic parishioners from St Aloysius - BR Parish chose to respond, contributing a total of $82, To each of you, thank you for your caring response to Bishop Muench s invitation to take part. As emergency needs and unexpected concerns arise every year, your involvement will mean a great deal once again. Ministry Highlights Mardi Gras Ministry By: Jeremy Leake Saints Alive Krewe celebrates fellowship from the top of a 20 foot Mardi Gras Float rolling through Southdowns! Volunteers get to exercise both their creative and organizational sides as they work with fellow parishioners from St. Aloysius to put on the production of carnival, Baton Rouge style. Parade preparation is divided among the volunteers. There will be a group to plan and prepare costumes, a group for float decorating and a group for parade day refreshments. Each rider is required to work with a group on float preparation and there is a fee charged that covers costume and some throws and parade day refreshments. In the coming weeks, Catholics throughout the Diocese will be invited to support the Bishop s Annual Appeal. Through generous parishioners like you, the BAA ensures essential programs continue for the good of the community, to the glory of Christ and his Church. Please Give to the Lord for All His Goodness. Prayerfully support the Bishop s Annual Appeal. If you do not receive a copy of this year s appeal by mail, please contact the Office of Stewardship at or stewardship@diobr.org. For an in depth look at the ministries or programs supported through the BAA, visit baabr.org.
