No reservations necessary. Ladies of the Vine Wine Tasting A Wine Tasting for All (BC) Sunday, September 7 3:00-5:00 p.m. Calling all wine lovers! Join a panel of women as they guide you behind wines from the following distributors: Broadbent, San Francisco Wine Exchange, Vintage 59, and Winesellers. Notable women, each of who ultimately enjoy each other s wines and one another s reputable companies, formed Ladies of the Vine. This event allows one-on-one interaction with some of the most knowledgeable and fun ladies in the wine industry and is open to men and women. Cost is $ per adult. Full Moon Kayaking (CSQ Dock) Tuesday, September 9 7:30-9:30 p.m. Bring family, friends and your sense of adventure on this late-night kayak marsh tour. The full moon sets the scene for this thrilling new perspective of the Island and its surroundings. All equipment will be provided and children under the age of 13 will be assigned to a tandem kayak. GoInfo Series: Fishing Kiawah (CSQ Dock) Tuesday, September 23 4:00-5:30 p.m. Join GoKiawah s very own Captain Elliot Hillock as he offers a look at what various types of fish inhabit the waterways of Kiawah and how to catch them. This hands-on session is a great fit for the new or occasional fisherman looking for some good tips from the area s top fish finder. The limited reservations for this complimentary event are required and can be made by contacting Member Services at or CATR Tennis Event (SP) Saturday, September 27 5:00-7:00 p.m. This special tennis event introduces Members to the Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding program (CATR), and is organized with the CATR staff, featuring a pro doubles exhibition match, music by the Mike Parks Band, a silent auction, and complimentary food and beverages. This event will give you an opportunity to learn about Craig s daughter Rowan Rice and her experience at Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding! Meet at Cassique at 1:10 p.m. for a prompt departure to America s only working tea garden, followed by a tasting of five Lowcountry wine varietals at a local vineyard. Lastly, enjoy southern spirits with a tasting of the latest trending and distilled spirits. Kid Zone (SP) Saturday, October 11 5:30-9:30 p.m. Explore the Club s new kids only program designed for our younger Club Members ages 5 12 to have a night of their own! The Sports Pavilion will be transformed from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. into and endless array of fun-filled and energy packed activities including pool games, dodge ball, a ping-pong tournament, and field games to name a few. Anglers will meet at Rhetts Bluff at 8:00 a.m. for tournament rules meeting and Captain introduction before heading out to travel the Kiawah River to compete in the following three categories: Redfish, Trout and Flounder. Tournament is limited to 15 individual entries and will allow up to two to three people on each boat. Entry cost is $ per person and includes half-day charter, equipment, bait, boxed lunch, and prizes. Entry cost for Members who wish to use their own charter is $25.00 and includes boxed lunch. GoInfo Series: Physical Therapy with Dr. John Kelley (SP) Tuesday, October 14 5:00-7:00 p.m. Dr. John Kelley from Private Therapy Services visits us and offers a first-hand look in to his patient-centered West Ashley practice, tells how physical therapy is helping people today, and shares some of his patients treatment successes. This complimentary event begins with an informal reception at 5:00 p.m. followed by Dr. Kelley s presentation at 5:30 p.m. Ladies Champagne Tennis (SP) Wednesday, October 15 9:00 a.m. 12:00 p.m. All levels of female tennis players are encouraged to attend this event that is sure to brighten your morning! Excursion: Farm to Table Dinner (CSQ) Monday, October 20 5:00 9:15 p.m. Join us for the Club s First Annual Farm to Table Dinner with Charleston Culinary Tours and Chef Stephen Thompson of Prohibition. This unique event showcases and celebrates our region s offerings through a multicourse gourmet meal on a beautiful Local Charleston Farm. Cocktail hour and hors d oeuvres are served from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. followed by a family-style dinner from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Transportation departs promptly at 5:00 p.m. from the Cassique Clubhouse. Excursion: Stingrays Hockey Game (CSQ) Saturday, October 25 6:00-10:00 p.m. It s opening night for Charleston s own minor league hockey team and we re heading to the North Charleston Coliseum to cheer them on. More than just a hockey game, the night is full of entertainment and concessions and you ll be sitting front and center in the Platinum Seats! River Course Golf Closed for Overseeding Monday, November 3 Friday, November 7 In order to maintain the best possible course conditions, the golf course at the River Course will be closed for overseeding. Golf play will resume on Saturday, November 8. We appreciate your patience and understanding. Excursion: Chef s Showcase Tour and Brunch (CSQ) Saturday, November 1 8:45 a.m. 1:30 p.m. This tour showcases one of Charleston s best chefs, Stephen Thompson from Prohibition and Charleston s award-winning farmer s market. Meet a local tour guide and chef as they lead you through the farmer s market to choose the freshest ingredients the market has to offer and these ingredients will be incorporated in your brunch. You will continue to explore the market, and your guide will take the group on a walking tour. Meanwhile, the chef will prepare a multi-course meal utilizing the ingredients just purchased at the market, for a true farm-to-table experience in his reputable restaurant, Prohibition on King Street. Excursion: Distilling Tour (CSQ) Friday, November 14 10:15 a.m. 4:00 p.m. Join us as we venture into the heart of downtown Charleston to take a behind-the-scenes tour and enjoy tastings of two new independent small batch distilleries: Charleston Distilling Company and High Wire Distilling Company. Spirit samplings include gin, rum, whiskey, and vodka. Transportation departs from Cassique clubhouse promptly at 10:30 a.m. and anticipated return is 4:00 p.m. Price is $ per person. The Deans themselves join us at the Cassique Clubhouse this Thanksgiving week for an afternoon of tips and training on holiday hosting and will be available for book signing! President s Cup (CSQ) Thursday, November 27 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. In the twelfth annual President s Cup, teams consisting of a father or mother and son or daughter (sons- or daughters-in-law are not permitted) will take their skills to the course at Cassique for a Modified Alternate Shot tournament format. Entry deadline is Friday, November 21. Entry is open to Golf and Sports Members in good standing and cost is $90.00 per team. Only signed entries will be accepted. Turkey Trot (SP) Friday, November 28 8:00-10:00 a.m. The most popular fitness event of the year returns this Thanksgiving weekend and offers Club Members and their families an opportunity to work off the big meal and spend some tech-free time together in the beautiful Cassique community. Participants of all ages have the option of running or walking the 5K course and are encouraged to stick around for the post-race festivities at The Sports Pavilion. Angel Tree (CSQ) Daily, Friday, November 28 Monday, December 8 This holiday season, the Club s Annual Angel Tree provides an opportunity for Club Members to help less fortunate children of the Johns Island Community. The Sisters from Our Lady of Mercy provide us with an abundance of children s names which are displayed as ornaments on The Angel Tree at the Cassique Clubhouse. Members are encouraged to choose an ornament from the Cassique tree and sponsor a child. The Outreach Program asks that all gift donations please be unwrapped, labeled, and placed in a gift bag. To ensure proper distribution to the Children s Program for their early holiday celebration, please return the donated gifts to Cassique no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 8. Your ongoing support and contributions to this program are graciously appreciated!
