INTERNATIONAL EDU FOUNDATION USA PRIVATE BOARDING HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION
HISTORY & FACILITY St. Thomas More is located on a 16-acre campus that originally housed Pio Nono High School (1890) and St. Francis Minor Seminary (1941). In 1972, two all-boys high schools, Don Bosco (1946) and Pio Nono, merged to form Thomas More High School. Thomas More remained an all-boys school until 1989, when we first admitted female students. On July 1, 2007, Thomas More High School officially became St. Thomas More High School. The addition of St. allows all prospective students, donors, visitors and neighbors to immediately know the mission and driving force behind the school: Jesus Christ and His love for us. Though the name changed slightly, the values and mission of the school remained the same. With an emphasis on innovation, St. Thomas More High School adopted a one-to-one wireless laptop curriculum, becoming the first high school in Milwaukee and the first Catholic high school in Wisconsin to implement such a program. Further solidifying commitment to innovation, St. Thomas More has been locally and nationally recognized for its engineering and biomedical science programs, both part of the Project Lead the Way curriculum.
WHAT IS ABOUT AMERICAN EDUCATION THAT MAKES IT SO ATTRACTIVE? The freedom to pursue education in a very competitive educational environment. A rich history of differing educational styles that requires us to be accountable and progressive. A direct connection to our Colleges and Universities that look for highly educated students. A reputation for producing quality students that become productive and contributing citizens.
WHY MILWAUKEE AND RACINE WISCONSIN?
SOME OF THE REASONS Long history of Education in Milwaukee both Public and Private. A constantly growing economy with Global connections and influence. Education is in the context of industry, pursuit of excellence, growth, productivity, citizenship and expansion. Truly a model city in terms of what makes a great city.

BENEFIT OF AN STM EDUCATION St. Thomas More is a leader in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. In recent years, St. Thomas More s excellence in STEM has been recognized with the following awards: Milwaukee Business Journal s Eureka Award in Education STEM Forward s Excellence in STEM Education Award STEM Forward s STEMMY Partnership Award MIT Club of Wisconsin Technology Achievement Award St. Thomas More s leadership in STEM comes first and foremost from its teachers. Engineering chairperson and STEM Coordinator was recently named the 2016 Distinguished Educator of the Year by the Education Deans of Greater Milwaukee. This prestigious award recognizes educators who have facilitated high academic performance among their students, contributed significantly closing the achievement gap, and received the respect and admiration of their colleagues in the education community.
STM AND STEM EXCELLENCE I learned so many things at St. Thomas More that people here at Northwestern are being exposed to for the first time. Sophia Olmos (STM 14), currently studying biology at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois Both our Engineering and Biomedical Sciences chairpersons serve as Project Lead the Way Master Teachers. In this role, they train fellow high school teachers from across the county, ensuring that they are equipped with the skills needed to prepare their students for college-level STEM courses. Project Lead the Way at St. Thomas More gives students an opportunity that is almost unheard of for a high school student. Besides being enjoyable and interesting, my experience is certainly paying dividends. Ben Boren (STM 14), currently attending Carthage College
