In his keynote address, Bob Yeager will discuss these industry trends and lay out his vision for the power plant of the future from a controls standpoint. Dwight A. Clayton, Research Operations Manager, Electrical and Electronics Systems Research Oak Ridge National Laboratory Oak Ridge National Labs has many programs that benefit the power industry. Katz, Chief Technology Officer, Energy and Utilities Industry, IBM Corporation Machine Learning is an evolution of software capabilities. Programming has evolved to the point where computers have limited understanding of a problem, rather than just faithfully executing programs intended to solve a problem. Located in a 7-story, 50,000 square foot facility, with 4 floors occupied and more under renovation, this project is the largest open-access innovation center at any university in the world. By numbers, think[box] receives over 5000 visits each month, making it the third most popular facility on campus, seconded only by the athletics center and the library. Popularity grows within on-campus researchers as well - currently think[box] is the second most cited core facility on campus.
