3 The first residence hall at Wright State University, scheduled to open Fall Quarter, 1970, will seek to provide a broader educative experience for students through special programs, services, and conveniences. The hall will accommodate 156 men in one wing and 156 women in another. Students will be assigned to double occupancy rooms. The University Center, directly adjacent to the residence hall, will provide dining and recreational facilities. APPLICATION Any student who plans to attend Wright State full-time during the academic year may apply. If it is not possible to house all interested students, special consideration will be given to those who have demonstrated substantial academic motivation, those whose homes are not within a reasonable commuting distance, those who have rendered service to the University and the community, and physically handicapped students. Each academic class will be represented, from freshmen to graduate students. COST The cost will be approximately $420 per quarter. Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarter occupancy will be required. The contract will include housing and meals. PROGRAMS Students selected for residency will pioneer in the development of educational, social, cultural, and athletic programs. A staff of graduate students and upperclassmen will serve as resident advisers.

STUDY LOUNGES will be provided on each floor. A main lounge, located on the first floor, will connect the two wings of the hall. AIR-CONDITIONING will be provided throughout the hall. A DINING HALL in the University Center will serve three meals a day, seven days a week, to residents of the hall. A choice of dishes will be offered at each meal. THE BOOKSTORE on the lower level of the Center supplies textbooks, related and leisure reading material, school supplies, and gift items. (continued on back)

7 RECREATION AREAS intheuniversitycenter include an indoor putting range, a pool room, ping-pong tables, and weight lifting equipment. HEARTH LOUNGES in the Center are frequently the scene of student-sponsored discussions and seminars, as well as informal gettogethers. STUDENT GOVERNMENT OFFICES are located on the lower level of the Center. LAUNDRY FACILITIES are provided in the basement of the hall. Coin-operated washers and dryers will serve hall residents. SPECIAL FACILITIES FOR HANDICAPPED STUDENTS in the hall include automatic elevators, wide doorways, and special restroom features. HOW TO APPLY Complete the form attached to this pamphlet.
