4 Introducing Non-Participant Member Counts As our participant membership has grown and online registration has become standard practice we are able to collect addresses for all of our membership including mothers, fathers and administrators. Adding Team Manager/Volunteer as a category for online registration provided the opportunity to gather additional contact information. Our communication has increased over the last few years and will continue to grow in the future. We have the ability to target communication to parents (mothers or fathers), team managers, volunteers and administrators as well as any segment of our participating member types (players, coaches and officials). Starting with the season we will be reporting the total of Non-Participant members for the season. This total will represent: The number of unique parent names from the online registration of all youth players. The number of unique parent names entered as the second parent (optional entry) for all youth players. The number of Team Manager/Volunteers registered who are not in the previous counts. Program Registrars who are not in the previous counts. USAH Board of Directors, District Personnel, Council, Committee, Section members and Affiliate Officers who are not in the previous counts. This total for the season is: 469, Membership Participant Members (Players, Coaches, Officials) 591,418 Non-Participant Members (as defined above) 469,712 Total 1,061,130 Page 4 Non-Participant Info

5 NATIONAL 8 AND UNDER REGISTRATION FINAL RESULTS USA Hockey has focused specifically on the 8 & under age category in a long-term approach to grow participation in youth hockey. The data below reports on the results from the registration season. Data can be read from left to right, beginning with FINAL totals from the season, then FINAL totals from the season and the difference (+/-). The Full Year Goal for from the 2 & 2 Challenge is next, and then the difference (+/-) versus that goal and the percentage of fulfillment of that goal.
