1 NEW STUDENTS MAKING CONTACT For new students: Linking up with your chaplaincy puts you in touch with other students even before you arrive at university. All university chaplaincies have a website with information about student groups and there is usually a Facebook group or other online community. The National Methodist Students Facebook group links Methodist students across universities: For local churches and ministers: If young people from your church family are going to university this autumn, please encourage them to be in touch with the chaplaincy. Chaplains are always keen to hear from new students before they arrive at University, so early contact is welcomed. Mobile phone numbers and addresses are usually the best way to be in touch with students, but a term time address is also very useful. If you are passing on contact details on behalf of a new student please make certain that you have their permission to do so. Chaplaincy Contacts: This list has been compiled from information provided to the Methodist Church, from the chaplains, our Ecumenical Partners and the Universities. We have tried to give at least one contact for each university. Where there is no Methodist Chaplain at an institution an alternative contact is provided.
