He has published in numerous sociological journals, as well as in political science journals such as the Journal of Politics, the British Journal of Political Science, and Political Behavior. Clarke (Ph.D., Duke University, 1971) is Professor of Political Science at the University of North Texas. He has published analyses of partisanship and voting behavior in numerous journals, including the American Political Science Review, the American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, and the Canadian Journal o f Political Science. PatrickR. Cotter (Ph.D., Ohio State University, 1975) is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. His research on public opinion and political behavior has appeared in the American Politics Quarterly, the Western Political Quarterly, the Social Science Quarterly, and the Public Opinion Quarterly. Michael A. Maggiotto (Ph.D., Indiana University, 1977) is Professor of Political Science and Associate Dean of Arts & Sciences at Bowling Green State University. He is Executive Director of the Southern Political Science Association. He has published articles on political behavior in numerous journals, including the American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, the International Studies Quarterly, the American Politics Quarterly, and the Midsouth Political Science Journal, and he is the coeditor of Building Democracy in One-Party Systems (Praeger, 1993). Suzanne L. Parker (Ph.D., Florida State University, 1986) is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Florida State University. She is the co-author of Factions in House Committees, and her research has been published in journals such as ihqamericanpolitical Science Review, Legislative Studies Quarterly, and Political Behavior. Marianne C. Stewart (Ph.D., Duke University, 1986) is Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of Texas, Dallas. She has co-authored studies of political behavior that have appeared in numerous journals, including the American Political Science Review, the American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, and Electoral Studies. James Glen Stovall (Ph.D., University of Tennessee, 1978) is Associate Professor of Communications at the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa. He has published articles in numerous journals, including the Public Opinion Quarterly and the Western Political Quarterly.
