1 Delaware Pathways Conference March 21, 2018 Wilmington, Delaware DRAFT AGENDA Chase Center on The Riverfront 815 Justison St. Wilmington, DE :00 8:30 a.m. Registration Opens 8:30 10:00 a.m. Plenary Session: Accelerating Students Through the Talent Pipeline By 2020, Delaware will enroll at least half of our high school students in career pathways that will successfully launch them into their first career and create a talent pipeline to careers needed in our economy. In order to meet this goal, state agencies, community-based organizations, policymakers, postsecondary institutions, families, and employers must work together to create a comprehensive career pathway system that sets youth on a path to middle- and high-skill, well-paying careers. This session will explore how to strengthen school and community-based supports to help students identify and pursue career pathways and understand the full range of postsecondary education options available as they prepare to take the next step. New this year is an industry sector showcase, highlighting careers in the healthcare sector. Staff from the Christiana Care Health System and Nemours/Alfred I. dupont Hospital for Children will be on hand to talk about career opportunities in Allied Health, giving a window into the biggest and fastest growing industry sector in Delaware.
