The notes contain information related to important architectural and historical points as well as dates. Corresponds to photographs with codes through a and b, and contains photograph dates and photographer names Copy of letter dated Mar 25, 1983, from William Savage to Francis Snelgrove, superintendent of the school district of Kershaw County regarding obtaining information about the Boylan-Haven-Mather Academy as well as obtaining photographs and slides of the school for historical purposes due to the school s closing. The six pages listed above with accession number contain the notes requested by Dr. Savage in this letter Copies of two letters dated May 25, 1983 and May 26, 1983, the first from William Savage to Barbara Boultinghouse of Boylan-Haven-Mather Academy and the other to Francis Snelgrove. In the first letter Dr. Savage requests additional items of historical value to be sent to him for preservation. He also discusses needing the informational forms for the buildings on the school s campus to go with the photographs that have recently been taken. It was in an exhibit developed by and shown in the McKissick Museums during 1983 that was entitled Life in South Carolina during the Depression.
