Join two leaders in lighting as they discuss the latest and how it affects you. Kostas Papamichael, PhD California Lighting Technology Center Kostas Papamichael is a professor in the Department of Environmental Design at the University of California, Davis, and is the Associate Director of the California Lighting Technology Center there. During the last 25 years, Kostas has worked on development of energy efficiency strategies and technologies for buildings, focusing on fenestration systems and daylighting, as well as the integration of electric lighting and fenestration controls. Francis Rubinstein, PhD Building Technologies Center, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab Francis Rubinstein is a staff scientist at LBNL, where he leads the Building Technology Department s Lighting Research Group. An internationally recognized expert in advanced lighting controls research, Rubinstein developed a lowcost building equipment control network (IBECS) that will allow lighting systems and other building equipment to be controlled wirelessly from the Internet. 9:30 a.m. 9:45 a.m. Break 9:45 a.m. 10:45 a.m. Measurement & Verification: Procedures and Methods Baskar Subbarao, P.E., CxA, CMVP Zodiac International Inc. Establishing and maintaining good M&V procedures can make all the difference when it comes to validating energy savings. Twa Panel Systems, Inc. Use of chilled beam technology in commercial buildings is rising.
