Brenda Tuckwiller and staff 9 a.m. Instructional Leadership for Quality CTE: What is it and Why it Matters? Participants will explore aspects of instructional leadership and the impact on student achievement. This will set the stage for the day s work and throughout the year. Stan Hopkins, SREB 10:15 a.m. Break 10:30 a.m. Assessing Instructional Leadership for your Center/School Following an opportunity to participate in a self-assessment, participants will discuss trends in what aspects of instructional leadership are/are not inherent in current leader practices and contribute strategies for a community resource. Kathleen McNally, SREB 11:45 a.m. Lunch 12:45 p.m. How Center/School Leaders can Impact Student Engagement Through a series of collaborative assignments and discussions exploring such aspects as rigor/complexity; time on task; classroom/lab expectations; feedback and collaboration participants will determine key practices for supporting student learning. 2:30 p.m. Break
