As a result, they are sponsoring a Musical Safari on February 21 st at the North Naples United Methodist Church. This Musical Safari provides an opportunity for people of all ages to learn and explore musically while having a good time. It also showcases the incredible talent in Naples as well as provides demos of exciting programs. Performers will range from 4 years of age to 80. Students and their families can explore an instrument petting zoo, see steel drum performances, receive group string instruction and listen to and experience world drumming. Music departments in the Collier County Public Schools have been very supportive. Many students will be on the program and will be serving as volunteers in events such as the petting zoo for instruments. We will have soloists, chamber groups, ensembles, talks from professional musicians and more. The activities during the day (10 am to 4 pm) will be free. In the evening there will be a concert featuring the Cuban Jazz Great Nachito Herrera. Prices for families will be modest $10/adult & $5/child.
