The family would like to invite you to a special time of fellowship and refreshments in the Friendship Area to celebrate with him following the morning service. Adult Sunday School in the Sanctuary will view a film regarding Homosexuality and the Church today at 11:00 a.m. Please join us! Items for the combined April/May Newsletter are due today. Please your information to office@martinreformed.org or leave it in Jill Wolthuis staff mailbox across from the Church Office. If you wish to enjoy Easter flowers for yourself or as gifts, order blanks are available on the Narthex table today. The ordering deadline is next Sunday, March 26, and the cost is $8.50 per plant. Sponsored by Women's Fellowship. Attention Ladies: Good Reeds Book Club will meet this Tuesday, March 21, 7:00 p.m., in the Friendship Area. If you have any questions, please contact Shelley Heijerman. The Ladies Lunch Bunch welcomes all women to get together for lunch. Our next meeting time is scheduled for Wednesday, April 5, at Big Boy in Wayland from 11:30 a.m. 1:00 p.m. Each one chooses from the menu. 2 Thank you ladies for your support and encouragement as we've launched this women's ministry! We have had two successful meetings and many more to come! We want to be sure that ALL women 18 & up know that they are welcome! This ministry is for all of our women! If you weren't able to make it this month, you'll find our conversation material on the Narthex table! Also, there are pink papers about an IF gathering at Providence CRC on April 28 & 29, please take one and see if this interests you! We would like to get any women that would like to attend this event, to go together. Please let us know by the first week of April. Any questions please ask Sara DeHaan or Rachel Katje! Community Easter Egg Hunt: There is only 4 weeks until Easter...Sunday, April 16, 2017!!! Please use the half page insert in your bulletin today to invite a neighbor, friend, and/or co-worker to our Community Easter Egg Hunt. Don t miss this great opportunity to share the GOOD NEWS of Jesus death and resurrection with them. It is life changing GOOD NEWS! (Extras will be on the table in the Narthex if you need more!) Workers are needed for our Community Easter egg Hunt! If you can help by hiding eggs, being a monitor during the egg hunt, helping in the Kitchen, a door greeter and/or on the clean-up crew, sign up today at the table in the Narthex. And lastly, candy donations to fill the eggs are still welcome. Please drop off in the bright green bag on the table in the Narthex. (Remember the eggs are only 2 so individually small wrapped candy is best. Such as; Hersey kisses, starbursts, small candy bars, etc.) If you have any questions regarding the Community Easter Egg Hunt, please see Sue DeVries. Our First Quarter Faith Mission Offering is designated for a local family, Joe and Jen Smit, who are missionaries in Indonesia. Joe is the brother of John Smit. For the month of March, we will be collecting the following canned food and drink items for Martin Resource Center: Canned fruits, canned veggies, juices, applesauce and canned meat (i.e. tuna & chicken). Appetizers begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:00 p.m. PRAYER CONCERNS *** Pray for Bill Bielecki, a church supported missionary in South Dakota, who has been hospitalized with pneumonia and has been diagnosed with a heart blockage that will require either stents or surgery. Pray for safety and healing. *** Pray for strength and endurance for Sue DeVries as she continues her chemo injections. *** Lisa (Helder) Hazard s, Earl and Jan s daughter, recovery from shingles is going well. Her extreme nerve pain is gone, and no new blisters are appearing on her face. Praise God that no damage to her eyes occurred and that doctors were wise about treatments. Thank you for your prayers. *** Pray for Evelyn Klein as she is dealing with various health concerns especially with her eyesight and mobility. *** Pray for the men and women who give of themselves everyday as they serve in our armed forces. Pray also, for our Law Enforcement Officers, EMT Personnel and Firefighters. *** For those with cancer: Robert Arehart (Jan Katje s father); Harriet DeVries (Joan Doezema s mother); Reg Iervolina (Sherry Knoper s father); Nancy Kingma (Sharon Sikkema s cousin); Jared Lipscomb (sophomore at Hopkins High School), friend of J.D. and Cristy Mohr; Heidi Lodenstein (Bill and Ardis Doezema s niece); Melody Lodenstein (Ardis Doezema s sister-in-law); Marge Machiela (Margaret Schram and Jan Westendorp s niece); Dave Mundwiler, (Rog and Sharon Sikkema niece s husband); Jessica Parm (Michelle DeMann s daughter); Don Potts; and Ted Retan (Earl and Jan Helder s long-time friend) whose surgery has been postponed. REASONS FOR PRAISE *** We praise God that Dave Mundwiler s, Rog and Sharon Sikkema niece s husband, MRI showed that the tumor is stable.
