3 Page 3 of 7 Department: Thibodaux Recreation Department Years employed with the city: 18 years What do you enjoy most about working for the city? Working with a great caliber of people, developing and providing a variety of recreational programs for people of all ages and interests which positively affects this community and enriches lives. What changes (if any) have you seen occur in the city over the months/years? So many positive changes have taken place in the city over the past 18 years with regard to drainage, streets, sidewalks, and renovations to city buildings. In particular, there has been a large increase of recreational programs. The Recreation Department offers nearly 30 programs as well as events, such as TREC/Hornets Day at the New Orleans Arena and the Senior Citizens Mardi Gras Ball. Improvements to the Baseball/Softball fields have made TREC's Baseball/Softball program better and safer for participants. Improvements to and additions of playground equipment have provided more activities for children to safely enjoy. The sports court floor at Harang Auditorium has enhanced the city's volleyball and basketball programs and the five walking trails in the city's parks provide a safe place for residents to exercise. I enjoy serving the public and I am very proud to be a resident of the City of Thibodaux.
