They are Deborah Ann Bright, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Louis Bright, Sr. of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; Wesley Freeman Brown, son of Reverend and Mrs. J.C.P. Brown of Williamston, North Carolina; and Penny Cheryl George, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil George of Marshallberg, North Carolina. United Methodist Scholarship Awards cover tuition and fees up to $500 and are granted on the basis of superior academic standing, leadership ability, active churchmanship, character, personality and need.
