Entering its 16 th year hosting this family-friendly holiday event that features performances from some of Tallahassee s most notable arts and cultural organizations, during which time, numerous community, civic, and ecumenical organizations will participate in a rocking chair-a-thon to raise money for the Riley Museum in support of efforts to restore, preserve and commemorate the cultural legacy of the Tallahassee community. Participating organizations commit to keeping their chair rocking (with a participant in it) for six (6) hours. The initial $100 sponsorship (per organization) will secure a rocking chair only. In addition to the $100 Chair sponsorship, each organization is asked to solicit museum memberships & donations to reach their goal of raising a minimum of $700 per chair. There will be food, games, prizes, music, activities, and of course, it wouldn t be a Rock-a-Thon without the voice of the world renowned Joe Bullard, of 96.1FM Jamz, as MC to help kick-off the holiday season! Participating organizations are encouraged to get local youth groups involved.
