1 Spring Day Camp Discover spring excitement at the Chino Hills Spring Day Camp while meeting new friends, enjoying action-packed games, making dynamic crafts, enjoying a special visit from the Mobile Recreation vehicle, and going on our great field trip! Creating a safe environment is our first priority and we do so by maintaining low camper to staff ratio. Daily: 10 to 1. Field trip: 6 to 1. Trip and transportation are included in the fee. All campers must provide lunch, drinks, and snacks. Field trip: Bowling. Grand Avenue Park 1301 Grand Avenue Monday through Friday April :00 a.m.-6:00 p.m years old 01: $120 Residents 02: $130 Non-residents Class Code: Volunteen Program The Recreation Division is looking for enthusiastic teens, ages 13 to 16 years old, who wish to volunteer their time this summer! Volunteens will assist in the City s Aquatics, Pee Wee Sports, Summer Day Camp, Mobile Recreation, and Special Event programs. The Summer 2012 Program will start June 18 and end on August 25. There is also a mandatory training that is scheduled the week of June 11. Volunteens must be certified in First Aid and CPR prior to June 17. At the end of the summer, Volunteens will receive a certificate of appreciation, letter of recommendation, and recognition at the City s Parks & Recreation Commission Meeting. A total of 80 applications will be accepted with a maximum of 50 teens accepted into the program. Applications available beginning Monday, April 2, 2012 and are due by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27, Applications are available for pick-up at City Hall (14000 City Center Drive), Founders Recreation Center (2000 Founders Drive), and online. 2 19th Annual Easter Egg-Citement Hop on down the bunny trail and join us for an Eggstra-Special day filled with adventures and surprises. Spend time with family and friends and create wonderful spring memories. Participate in a variety of activities including egg hunts, an egg decorating contest, pictures with the Easter Bunny, craft projects, musical entertainment, a craft fair, and refreshments to purchase. No outside baskets or bags allowed. The City will provide bags for egg hunts. In order to bring your dog onto the McCoy Equestrian Center all dogs are required to be gentle and socialized. You must provide a current Rabies Certificate. 4 Horse Show Mania Come and join us for a fun day of horsin around! The spring horse shows offer a variety of classes that include: Reining Classes, Western Pleasure, English Pleasure and more! This is a wonderful opportunity for horse lovers of all ages to come out and see many different breeds of horses competing for prizes. Each participant will make a fun craft, play lots of fun games, enjoy a thrilling story, be served a tasty lunch, and decorate a yummy cookie. Participants will create their own pirate hat and will receive a photo of themselves riding the pony. Requirements: Pony vendor requires that the participants must not exceed 80 lbs.
