9 Friday, May 20, Makeup Day- Make-up Periods for Final Exams (Fall and Spring Terms) Make-ups Due to University Closure The last scheduled day of each final exam period is the scheduled make-up day. If the university is unexpectedly closed during an exam time, make-up examinations will be given on make-up day, at the same time and in the same room as the missed exam. Unless prior written permission is granted by the Dean or Provost, all final exams must be completed by the last day of the scheduled final exam period. Make-ups Due to Scheduling Conflicts Students who have more than one examination scheduled at the same time or have more than two examinations scheduled on the same day must be allowed to reschedule, so that they have no more than two examinations on the same day. Students requiring this accommodation must consult the instructor of the exam they wish to reschedule to request rescheduling prior to the start of the final exam period. To prevent any miscommunication, the student's request to reschedule and the instructor s response with details of the date, time, and location of the rescheduled exam, should be in writing, from their official Morgan accounts. Students are advised to check the exam schedule as soon as it is published online, so that they can alert instructors of any rescheduling needs in a timely manner. The makeup exam must take place on or before make-up day. Failure to attend an agreed-upon rescheduled final exam may result in failure of a course. Students or instructors with questions or concerns about the make-up procedure should consult the appropriate chairperson or Dean. * Instructors should contact MSU Police Department or Dean of School to open doors to the Amphi- Theatre. Instructors should contact the Dean of the school where their respective exams will be held for the Richard N. Dixon Science Research Center, Schaefer Lecture Hall (Room 241), Schaefer and New Communications Center (Room 101). * Instructor should contact Chairperson of Physics Department to open doors to Calloway Lecture Hall (Room 101). 9
