1 ATHLETICS/GOLF/BOCCE/SOFTBALL State Competition - July in Newberg 3:15 p.m. -BEND Meet at Food-4-Less Parking Lot (Back Lot) Cascade Village Shopping Center, Bend 3:45 pm - REDMOND - Meet at Albertsons, Redmond 3:30 p.m. Buses Leave BEND for REDMOND 4:00 p.m. Buses Leave REDMOND for TIGARD Have all gear, clothing, personal items, sleeping bag, chair, AND LABELED MEDICATIONS with you at the bus at 3:15 for Bend, and 3:45 for Redmond or you will be left behind. You are responsible for ALL personal items and gear. If you forget anything from home or leave anything in the parking lot CONSIDER IT FORGOTTEN! SOME IMPORTANT THINGS TO REMEMBER: WATER ONLY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY MORNING BEFORE COMPETITION AND DURING COMPETITION NO POP, SWEET DRINK, OR COFFEE for breakfast or lunch, and try to limit intake at dinner. Drink extra fluids with meals and during the day. Always drink plenty of WATER. MEDICATIONS - Any needed medication need to be labeled clearly with athlete s last name, first initial, and High Desert Program. ABSOLUTELY NO JEANS and NO JEWELRY allowed at competition NO OPEN-TOED SHOES/BARE FEET allowed on the competition field ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING at Newberg High School or George Fox Complex THESE VENUES ARE NO SMOKING FACILITIES NO EXCEPTIONS

2 Athletes and UPs are encouraged to eat healthy. You should eat extra carbs and add fresh fruit and vegetables whenever possible. Try to avoid greasy, fried, or fatty foods. Athletes and UPs are NOT allowed to use cell phones or music players while competing Wear your name badge at ALL TIMES. You will not be allowed into Olympic Town, dinner, competition without your name badge. Remove your uniform while eating meals. Wear a t-shirt or tank top underneath that you can easily change to. Our uniforms need to look nice for both days of competition as well as our Parade of Athletes and Dance. Things to Bring: Money for souvenirs or purchase of snack from concession stand Water Bottle (refillable) Hat Chair DEODORANT you will be wearing your uniform 2 full days Sunscreen Toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, comb, brush, pajamas, change of clothes, and other personal items Sleeping bag if you don t want to share a bed Clean change of clothes for each day Towel if you want to shower at Newberg High School before dinner and Opening Ceremonies and Dance. We will NOT have time to return to the motel before Opening Ceremonies and the dance. Bring what you need for Saturday night with you when you leave the motel Saturday morning. Meals will be provided. Buses will leave Newberg for home approximately 5:30 p.m. Arrival back in Redmond and Bend between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. We will be calling with actual arrival time when we reach Sisters. Please be by your phone and prepared to meet your athlete at the Food-4-Less Parking Lot around that time. We will all be excited but tired and ready to go home.

You will need to make sure you are back 30 minutes before you are competing.
