He began his career as a 5th grade teacher and was an ASU professor of physical education for 32 years. Pangrazi has published over 60 textbooks and 100 research and professional articles.

John Jones Featured Speaker US Games - Quick games for Fun & Fitness 11:30 - Friday John Jones is a veteran Physical Education Instructor from Northern Virgina.

His sessions are always interactive, rewarding, and highly energetic. Beth Kirkpatrick Featured Speaker Beth Kirkpatrick is a leader in the field of Physical Education.

2 Highlights of the upcoming 2018 SHAPE Michigan Convention Robert Pangrazi - Keynote speaker Gopher Sport and Arizona State University 10:15- Friday Robert Pangrazi is a Professor Emeritus at Arizona State University and an Educational Consultant for Gopher Sport. Pangrazi has been in the education field over 50 years. He began his career as a 5th grade teacher and was an ASU professor of physical education for 32 years. Pangrazi has published over 60 textbooks and 100 research and professional articles. He has been an invited speaker at over 500 national and international conferences. John Jones Featured Speaker US Games - Quick games for Fun & Fitness 11:30 - Friday John Jones is a veteran Physical Education Instructor from Northern Virgina. Jones is a dynamic presenter from US Games and a returning presenter to SHAPE Michigan. He has also presented at numerous conventions throughout the country. His sessions are always interactive, rewarding, and highly energetic. Beth Kirkpatrick Featured Speaker Beth Kirkpatrick is a leader in the field of Physical Education. She was one of the first PE teachers in the nation to incorporate heart rate monitors in schools. Kirkpatrick has been featured in countless news articles and stories nationwide. She has also been the recipient of numerous state and national educational awards. Additionally, she has keynoted at over 1500 conferences in all fifty states as well as nationwide. Bike Jam starting at Mission Point 2:00 - Saturday Please join SHAPE Michigan Jam Saturday at 2:00 p.m. for an exciting Bike Rally. This event will include a ride around the island with stops for designated views and sightseeing. All are welcome including any family or friends! There will be no charge except for bike rentals. FERRY INFORMATION: * Shepler s Ferry has agreed to work with SHAPE Michigan for our Convention. They are offering a discounted ticket to all SHAPE members/registrants. * To purchase tickets in advance online - please visit sheplersferry.com and use the promo code: SHAPE18 You may also purchase tickets at the gate for same price. * Complimentary self parking or valet parking will be available. The ferry ride is approximately 20 minutes. Please visit for the ferry schedule & plan your travel accordingly. You may also like Shepler s Ferry on Facebook to receive updates. HORSE DRAWN SHUTTLE SERVICE * With every ferry that pulls into the harbor is a hotel shuttle that transports guests & luggage to the resort. This service is approximately $5, per person, and cash is paid directly to the driver. For special requests please call Mackinac Island Carriage Tours Taxi at * This service is not owned, or operated, by Mission Point Resort. The distance between the ferry dock & resort is less than ¾ mile for those who wish to enjoy a leisurely stroll through downtown. * Luggage items will still be taken to the resort by the horse drawn shuttle.
